This is authentic southern New Mexico food. We were in T or C last week of Feb and ate there several times. I grew up eating Tex Mex food near Houston and it is not what it used to be, we only have chain Mexican restaurants and they’re terrible. I miss Tony’s.

The food was great and abundant! Large portions for a great price. I like that the huevos rancheros plate automatically comes with some chunky meat doused in your chile of choice, in my case Christmas. Both red and green were flavorful and saucy, and the dry roasted flavor of the red really came through. I also loved the salsa that came with the free chips delivered before the meal and even got some extra to go.
It is a small, slightly cramped, simple no-frills diner vibe, but you know it’s good when the city officials trucks are there for lunch, as well as the construction crews in their high-vis. It was bustling, but not too loud considering. Service was prompt and very helpful. I’m excited for the leftovers for lunch today.

Always pick the place with the police cars and the work crew trucks out front.
There is nothing fancy about this place. It just has good food and a friendly atmosphere. The locals gather here. It was a good thing we were eating a late breakfast, which was good. As we left, the parking lot and tables were filling up for lunch.

Had a chimichanga with carne asada and smothered in both red and green sauces. I’m not usually a fan of carne asada but it is their most popular so I gave it a try. Definitely was delicious and makes me want to try the rest! The chips and salsa were off the chain! I would go just for that 🙂

The place is small but the food is good. I love the smallness because it adds to the purity in appearance and once you eat the food you know it aint for show. Keep up the great work Tony.

Was looking for a place to eat. It’s small get there early or little late to get your best chance of not having to wait. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I thought I had to buy chips and salsa but it is free. It was pretty busy when I was there for lunch so food time was in line with how many people were there. Good was very delicious. Salsa is that perfect amount of heat that all you want to do is keep eating because it’s so good. Got the Carne Asoda plate. Top notch. Seasoned well with plenty of avocado sauce. Beans and rice were good. All in all a new place to stop by on my trips south for work.

really great… loved the salsa… closest thing to my aunt pat’s enchiladas I’ve ever had…
I had the combo plate and ate it all… my son had the guisado, which is what my family would all call chili colorado… it was great, too…

Excellent service, very attentive and helpful. I ordered the Tonys dish, which was delicious and very well served. The chile relleno was delicious and the sauce was very good. They served us quickly and we didn’t have to wait long.

Best decision I made, stopping at Tony’s for a burrito! The place was pretty busy,(great indicator for quality of food and pricing). I ordered a to-go hamburger, bean, sour cream burrito to eat on the go. What I received was a truly HUGE burrito (lethal weapon size, weight- felt easily over a pound), and the flavor was so divine! Simply the best burrito I have had, including my own, in absolute years!! It was a divinely guided food stop. Lord yes!!
