Informal restaurant with a patio whipping up Italian fare such as pasta, meatballs & cannoli.

This was a nice experience. My boyfriend and I went the day after valentines and the food was lovely. We ordered an appetizer, the mozzarella sticks, and they tasted like they were made from fresh mozzarella. They were super good! They also brought out a basket of bread which had a garlic herb crust which was absolutely scrumptious. Our entrees (the chicken parm and vodka rigatoni where I added a chicken cutlet) were fresh and delicious. The portion sizes here are actually normal, not like other spots in the north end who give you a huge plate of mediocre food. The reason I chose 4/5 stars is because for one, they don’t offer many non alcoholic drinks. My boyfriend and I are just under 21, and the only non alcoholic drinks options they had were 4-5 different soda options. Some house made juices or lemonades would be a nice addition to the menu. Secondly, there’s only 5-6 tables in this restaurant. You HAVE to make a reservation, I saw a few groups get turned away at the door. But for being such a small restaurant, you’d think the service wouldn’t be so slow. Although the food came out quickly, we had a lot of trouble getting ahold of our server for drink refills or getting the check.
Overall, the restaurant FOOD was amazing, the interior is cute, but the SERVICE although not rude is mediocre. Would come again for the food!

We sat outside in the little alley area, which was cute and cozy at first, but I wish we’d been informed ahead of time that it would be outdoor seating.. I didn’t have a jacket, and it ended up being pretty cold, which made the experience uncomfortable.
We waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally came out, it wasn’t great and got cold really fast. I expected more out of the chicken parm.. I’d give it a 6/10. The garlic bread was delicious and the marinara sauce was solid, but that’s about where it ended for me.
I was also charged for two ginger ales without being told refills weren’t included, which was disappointing. Our server was friendly but not attentive. At one point, I saw him brush crumbs off another coworker’s hair directly over the water pitcher for our table, and later, he sprayed orange cleaner over a cheese shaker while cleaning a nearby table. Both moments were honestly pretty concerning from a cleanliness standpoint.
My wife enjoyed her lobster ravioli and said the pasta was al dente and the flavor was good, but she was also freezing. Overall, between the long wait, the cold seating, and the hygiene concerns, I wouldn’t recommend Tony & Elaine’s and won’t be returning on future visits to Boston.

Lasagna and rigatoni alla vodka were delicious. Meatballs were good but not out of the world. Cute, small place but some of the furnitures were shaky. We made a reservation beforehand so didn’t have to wait. Would still go back and try their chicken parm.

Heard the hype… so we needed to check this place out. Made a reservation on a Saturday night on the patio. Small and quaint inside but Extremely impressed in every way!! Old school Italian food w a touch of amazing deliciousness. Perfectly cooked pasta, flavors and ingredients blend in way your mouth will be more than satisfied.
Had calamari, meatballs, and a caprese salad, all bomb!!! Orochiette w sausage and rabe and chicken parm. Literal heaven on a plate. This will be a definite revisit anytime we are in town!!

This was easily my favorite meal on my trip to Boston. The food and the atmosphere were equally fantastic — you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. I thought the price was fair compared to some of the surrounding restaurants too. I loved the bolognese and the mozzarella sticks! There was a homestyle feel that made this spot feel so cozy, warm, and welcoming!

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday with out a reservation and decided to explore the neighborhood during our 30 minute wait (lesson learned – make a reservation). We’re so glad we came back because the food was excellent.
The meatballs are to die for – some of the best I’ve ever had. Our pasta dishes were perfect and the fresh bread was so good.
We will visit this place every time we are in Boston – it was truly a delight.

Came here for lunch after seeing it on the Boston morning news, and ended up finding our new favorite Italian spot.
We got the calamari, lasagna, rigatoni alla vodka (add chicken cutlet), and orecchiette sausage rabe. House red and white wine were $9 a glass and tasted great. The oil for dipping bread was light, fresh, and perfectly salted.
Best dish was by far the lasagna. They put 3 different kinds of meat into it and the Sunday sauce is next level.

Off the beaten path but ended up being the best meal of the trip! Casual and authentic Italian vibe decor that puts you in the mood for an amazing meal. We got the caprese salad, TWO orders of the best meatballs ever (because one was not enough to enjoy) and shared the orchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe. Everything had perfect flavor and was truly delicious! Do yourself a favor and keep off the crowded main street and head to Tony & Elaine’s!

Everything was excellent and pricing was very reasonable. I read reviews prior and made sure we tried the classics but also tried the house salad which I did not think could be “that good.” Wow was I wrong. The salad was amazing and the dressing was unmatched. We got the meatballs, moz sticks and shared the chicken parm (but did vodka sauce instead of marinara). The pasta with the chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was so flavorful. We were very impressed all around. Definitely coming back with friends.

Just had a really lovely time with B-side at our very first supper club! We got to sit outside and the weather was GORGEOUS. The food was amazing too and I enjoyed all of it. The highlights were definitely the arancini, which was crispy and cheesy, as well as the spaghetti and meatballs, which were of very good quality. I’ve had better cannolis at other places I think, but I appreciated them being small and the ratio of pastry to cream was on point.
