Social Profile:

Founded by the Gambino Family in 1972, it was originally known as Figaro’s Pizza. Our celebrated family recipes hail from Palermo, Sicily. After becoming a staple on the east coast, the hand-tossed legacy lives on in Minnesota. Our sister brand, ‘Frank From Philly & Andrea Pizza’, has been adorned by visitors as ‘the biggest slice in Minneapolis’—an authentic taste many have enjoyed for decades. Here, at Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks, we built a beautiful brick-oven to pay homage to that history, and to add a unique flavor to the pies that so many have come to love. We invite you to come have a taste of tradition!

Food is bomb! Been there 2 times on 2 weeks. Had the Fat Tony sub with pepper jack and cheese whiz the first time. One of the best Phillys I’ve ever had! Just had the Don Pepe pizza which I couldn’t help but get a bite of before the pic! Super good! Sauce is very unique! Also got the Beast Fries which were so good! 10/10!

I’m honestly writing this review in hopes someone reads it. The pizza (Fungo) gave me SEVERE food poisoning, the fries were over salted to the point of inedability and the “steak” was gristly beef. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. food safety inspectors seriously required

First time at Tono. Ordering at the counter was fast and easy with a tablet. Food came out fast and was delicious. Nice selection of sauces to add on, we liked the hot honey and balsamic.

This was our first experience at Tono and we were pleasantly surprise:) the large Caesar salad was enough for 3 of us and we had some left over still. The cheesecake was as big as my head, definitely going to have leftovers. The truffle fries were tasty and the pizza was pretty good too. The Spicy Tono and the regular pepperoni pizza look pretty much the same but the taste was the tell. The spicy is less spicy than you’d expect. The price wasn’t too bad either. Our family of 4 ate for around $80 bucks. The volume inside the restaurant was rather loud and busy… it was during peak hours soooo they get a pass on that

Great food and fun casual atmosphere. The place is usually bustling but we always find a table. The pizzas come in creative and delicious combinations and they have hot honey, balsamic glaze and hot oil at the ready. The cheesesteaks are fantastic as well. You order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. It’s in a cool area where you can check out the fun antique shops while you’re there.

The moment we started taking our order, Dre the manager went above and beyond to make our experience great. Very impressive. Dre made us aware about a BOGO special they were holding and showed us appreciation for choosing them. The food is AMAZING and the positive vibe was enough to keep us coming back as regular customers. Thank you Dre!

This is absolutely the best philly cheesesteak sandwich I have ever had. Everything about it was perfect, including the bread. I can’t wait to go back. I hope they build one of these close to me soon.

I tried the cheesesteak thinking it was gonna be a hit, but it was just mediocre. The sub is too greasy, lacking the flavor, and the cheese was almost nonexistent. I will have to try again another time and maybe give the pizzas a shot in case I’m missing out.
