I’ve had this once and it was delicious- the staff member who helped me was kind and helpful and the service was quick. I’ve tried to go twice since then, on my lunch break (11-12), and even though their menu and google indicates that they open at 11- they haven’t opened until nearly noon with no notice on the door or message on the phones or anything. 🙁 Its a bummer but I cant depend on their hours enough to plan to order from or go to Tonka Grill for lunches.

Absolutely the best baby back ribs in town. Baked beans and Coleslaw with Texas toast, yummy. Nice spot looking out at Spring Park Bay. The only place I’ll go for ribs.

Went here to celebrate my cousins 73rd birthday, there were 4 of us. They were extremely short staffed and informed us the owners wife would be in any minute to help. After 30 mins without even getting our drink order in FINALLY the owners wife arrived. Her husband scolded her for being late and asked she serve us immediately. Now I’ve worked in restaurants and completely understand and all would be forgiven here, however her attitude was unacceptable. She slowly came over to the table saying something along the lines of, it’s ok, it’s the end of the world. Then took our drink order and no lie 15 mins later delivered them. We all had sodas. At this point there were 3 tables including us and the other 2 were done eating, so why the hold up!? Then she took our food order. When the food came out, everyone had the wrong sides and we still hadn’t gotten our appetizer. It wasn’t a big deal except she was extremely rude about it. When the birthday girl inquired about the appetizer s couple times she snapped at her saying, yeah I heard you, you’ll get your coconut shrimp. When she offered dessert, the birthday girl was on the fence about a piece of cheesecake. She said something like, I would only want a sliver. This women literally brought her a sliver of cheesecake! Then when she brought the bill she stated, I comped the cheesecake for you… Umm seriously?! More than that should have been comped! Fountain sodas only cost about $.25, they should have been comped too. Needless to say we weren’t going to tip her but ended up tipping a little because we were waiting for change for about another 10 mins. Worst service I’ve EVER encountered! To end on a positive note, the was great.

Very good BBQ. Take the extended family or group and order the Boat Load . Several racks of great ribs, chicken steamed broccoli beans and enough toast for all family and the Fish at the dock.

Best place on the lake to stop for a meal or even takeout! They have a dock you can tie up to, and they’ll provide you with all the condiments and untensilware you need! Summer or winter (with underground parking), this is a hidden jem! On weekends, Kathey provides the best cream pie I’ve ever had!

Well, you can never find good pizza in Texas, and you can never find good ribs in Minnesota. The baby backs were cook to death, twice. Clow slaw is out of a Sysco tub. Poor service and bad ribs. I ordered the country ribs and took quite a while to get them out of the kitchen. When arrived they were burnt on the outside and overcooked on the inside …. worst ribs ever. They are not equipped to handle large groups.
