Have a dinner here in August 2025. This place was a hidden gem. Wasn’t sure where it was located until I realized it was inside the hotel. The decor is appropriate for the location. Service was exceptional. The waiter who waited on me was attentive and paid attention to the details. The setup is cozy and well arranged. I great place for small groups and dates and the ambiance is fitting. This was during Restaurant Week so there was a special multicourse menu. The drinks and the food choices matched what we ordered and the presentation was equally good. I would definitely recommend this place for easy quiet paced dinner and conversation. Definitely will revisit.

Little hidden gem in the heart of Montrose! We pass by this place all the time, but we never noticed it because of the amazing privacy bushes… it’s a positive though as the window seating will allow a nice atmosphere that separates the city life from this haven of delight. We planned a nice date-night dinner here as a precursor to a show at Stages. The staff was very attentive and courteous, complementary valet service, beautiful and very clean facility retaining the history of the original structure! The food was also amazing! We started off with a cold dish which was just as visually appetizing as it tasted (Crown Toro Hamachi Tartare)… I could eat several plates of this alone!!! The lovely wife had the Gnocchi al Tartufo which was filling and warmed the soul. I had the Roasted Duck Breast, which was cooked perfectly! The polenta was rich/creamy and paired with the duck nicely. The sauce was welcomed and went perfectly with the duck. We finished our journey there by sharing the Banana Semifreddo! Not only does it look like art, but it was a treat to finish off… try to pace yourself because your willpower to scarf it down will be tested. All-in-all, this was a pleasurable experience and we are excited to come back to try more dishes! Highly recommend!

Restaurant is really nice and delicious. Valet people need training. They don’t know how to drive. They drove my jeep with the handbrake! I picked up my jeep and it smelled terrible to smoke. If you don’t know how to drive it don’t take it!

Im editing this about an hour after I posted the text above because I was just informed that my colleague who was with me had her car brought to the ramp with a flat tire. Apparently the valet drove her car into a ditch and got her tire busted. The guys did not let her talk to a manager and stood right in front of the main door to block her. I recommended she talk to police because this is insane. The restaurant should look into these guys running the valet service today March 9th (6-10pm). Terrible!

This is a very beautiful restaurant with a classical piano, oil painting walls, crystal lamps, and a beautiful back garden. Everything is very gorgeous.

food was amazing, service was smooth, and the place itself is beautiful.

Be prepared to spend a little — if you’re not about quality, this spot might not be for you. But for us, the price was more than fair for the presentation, atmosphere, and overall experience.

I’ll definitely be bringing my wife here next

Absolutely beautiful space for having supper in style. We were unfamiliar with the hotel, so what a find! The dishes are meticulously prepared and full of flavor. Do yourself a favor and try the gnocchi as an appetizer because it’s too wonderful to just be a side dish. This kitchen knows how to treat seafood, and the crab meat appetizer was especially great. For vegetarians, you’ll have no problem finding a satisfying meal: cauliflower and chick pea bowl, iron skillet milk rolls, salads, delicious sides. The chocolate mousse is decadent and plenty for two people to share. Walk off some of those calories by strolling the beautiful grounds and admiring the artwork and shady patio. Very friendly reception from everyone and prompt valet service. We’ll be back!

The lighting is spectacular in this restaurant, so many beautiful rooms, and a great menu. The bar menu and has a burger that is out of this world! I had the Coq au Vin, in a nice size group, some had the snapper, Caesar salad, French onion soup, every was wonderful, so much flavor! Dessert was cheesecake, was yummy as well! Would definitely return for another meal, and the service was 5 star!

Brought a date here on a Monday night. The place was completely empty aside from one other table. This worked well for us because we enjoy talking for a very long time and my date tends to get a bit animated. I was looking to try a little of a lot. I got the French onion soup, quail, and chocolate banana cream pie. The soup was very under seasoned and thin. The quail was wonderful but you only get two for $50 and according to the menu it was supposed to come out on a bed of polenta. Instead it came out on a spread of minced roasted cauliflower with melted cheese. So that was a bit disappointing. My date got the japanese milk bread and their half chicken and both were real winners. The chicken was very flavorful and it came on a bed of well roasted potatoes and root vegetables. For her dessert she got the Opera cake. Both of our desserts we very well made. Be aware they do not have soft drinks so you’ll either be drinking sparkling water, wine, cocktails, or mocktails. Her and I both got mocktails and they mixed well with sparkling water. I’ll give this place another try but I’m giving it 4 stars because at over $100 per person I’m expecting the food quality not to be hit or miss. They do offer complimentary valet parking.

We had Thanksgiving lunch at La Colombe d’Or with a party of four, and unfortunately the experience fell far short of expectations. Two of us ordered the Thanksgiving turkey menu with three sides, while the others chose from the regular lunch offerings (a lobster roll, and a trio of ceviche, French onion soup, and Caesar salad). We also ordered two bottles of wine.

While our server was kind, it was immediately clear the restaurant was short-staffed. Service was disjointed from the start: one person’s main dish was brought out twice before anyone else’s food was ready, so we sent it back to wait for the rest of the table. The wine list took multiple requests, and even once we’d ordered, we had to ask again for the bottle—more than once. We also had to ask for water refills and silverware, which set the tone for a meal that never quite found its rhythm.

The food itself was mixed. The turkey plates arrived cold, and the gravy had that congealed look that happens when dishes sit too long. Despite all that, the flavors were actually good—which made the execution even more frustrating. The standout of the entire meal was the bread pudding, which was warm, comforting, and honestly the one thing we’d come back for.

Given the price point, the overall experience was disappointing. Between the long waits, the lack of coordination, and the repeated need to track someone down for basics, it felt like a restaurant either stretched far too thin for the holiday—or one that may be struggling more broadly. Either way, Thanksgiving lunch didn’t match the reputation or the cost.

The food was underwhelming for a preset Christmas meal. The appetizer and entree tasted good enough, but were nothing special. My main complaints were the desserts. It’s clear that they don’t have a pastry chef because the desserts were not worth eating. The cherry pie was made with a salty store bought crust and a medicinal canned filling. The gingerbread bundt cake was alright, but again…we paid a lot of money for meh.
