What a nice dining experience my wife and I had at Tong-D. We stopped by on a weekday afternoon and they were some tables occupied. Very comfortable settings and the service was excellent. I had the crispy pad Thai w/chicken & shrimp, it was delicious. My wife had the drunken noodles with chicken and she said it was excellent. You can pick your spice level which is a nice touch as well. I had a bottle of their own Thai iced Tea it was so good. If ever looking for a nice Thai meal I highly recommend Tong-D in Barrington. A very diverse menu with so many choices. I can’t wait to go back.

As someone who is Southeast Asian, I truly appreciated how beautiful this place is—the atmosphere and decor are warm, inviting, and thoughtfully done. It’s a very comfortable space and makes a great first impression.
The food, however, was solid but just okay. Nothing was bad, but it didn’t fully stand out or feel especially memorable. Some dishes were enjoyable, while others felt like they were missing that extra depth of flavor I was hoping for.
Overall, it’s a nice restaurant with great ambiance and decent food. I’d come back for the atmosphere.

Incredible!! We had their afternoon tea and every single element was so delightful. The tea comes in pots with matching tea cups and is incredibly high quality. There wasn’t a single bite on the savory or sweet plate that was even mediocre, truly everything was delicious. And on top of that, the price was so reasonable, especially for an afternoon tea service. For two people we got one savory and one sweet tray and we left stuffed. Plus the staff were so nice, and it was obvious that the tea service is a real passion project. We drove across the state to go to this and we’ll absolutely be back!

The chef came out and explained what each item was on the eclectic plates of superb food we ordered and even explained what sauces to pair with which foods. Every single item was delicious, an explosion of tantalizing flavors in the mouth.
We ordered a savory plate and a sweet plate, to go with our exceptional teas.
It was such an amazing experience. I can’t wait to take everyone else in the family here!

After biking 20 miles on the East Providence path ♂ , I was running on fumes and family vibes. My wife, in-laws, 9-month-old daughter and I searched for nearby food, stumbled upon Tong D Restaurant, and wow what a find!
The decor is absolutely stunning think serene garden meets modern elegance. Cascading floral arrangements hang like chandeliers, the artwork is tasteful and calming, and fresh flowers on every table add a bright, cheerful touch. It’s the kind of place that instantly slows your heart rate.
Service? Truly top-notch . The staff was kind, attentive, and even played peekaboo with our baby (who was all smiles). They also offered to take photos for us such a thoughtful gesture that made our visit feel extra special .
We all ordered from the Lunch Special Menu, which felt like a mini tasting adventure. From the fresh house salads with Miso and Japanese-Sesame dressings , to the cozy Tofu Coconut and bold Chicken Tom Yum soups , every bite was beautiful and flavorful. The appetizers crispy spring rolls, steamed pork gyoza, and edamame were served in style on handwoven trays. Major presentation points!
I had the Beef Pad Thai and it was hands-down one of the best I ve had perfect texture, flavor, and balance. My wife and in-laws loved their chicken and veggie dishes too.
Tong D completely exceeded expectations. Great food, amazing ambiance, and a family-friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near the area!

We stopped here for the lunch in the middle of a bike ride along the East Bay Bike Path. My partner ordered the lunch special, which came soup (chicken tom yum), salad, an appetizer (pork gyoza), and the main entree (ginger chicken). I ordered the Pad See Ew (aka Pad C-U), the stir fried soy sauce noodles, with extra chicken. Everything we had was excellent! I suspect that this might be the best Thai food in Barrington. The service is really excellent and all of the restaurant employees are very kind. The couple behind us ordered afternoon tea, which seemed to be an experience unto itself with different teas, appetizers, and desserts. I highly recommend this spot!

I had my daughter‘s Tea party baby shower at Tong-D. 40 people. It was amazing!! It could not have been any better. Working with Piya was very easy. She and her staff have a high attention to detail, to make sure that we had the experience we were hoping for. Very talented and creative team! The food was incredible! Hats off to the chef! The tea was so good and it was kept warm throughout the entire event. The staff were attentive yet did not get in the way at all. There was a high level of communication before and during the event as needed. It was a 10 out of a 10! If anyone is looking for a unique fun baby shower this is the place!! You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Tong-D for making my daughter’s twin baby shower, everything I could have possibly hoped for. She was so happy.
