Living at the condo complex right behind Ton Ton Katsuya, I have eaten here many times, probably in the several dozens by now. Let me say that Ton Ton consistently delivers delicious food and excellent customer service, and the word is out because this place is always full. It may be a bit of a wait to get a table, especially if you are coming with a group in excess of 4, but the food is worth it.
My go-to is the thick cut port katsu (atsugiri) and they know me so well that I usually don’t even get a menu. Thick, tender pork enrobed in light and crispy panko breading that somehow doesn’t taste oily at all. I prefer the typical katsu sauce added to finely ground sesame seeds, but you can also eat it with pink salt or Japanese mustard. Usually I ration the pork so I can order a second bowl of rice (you can refill rice and miso soup gratis), interspersed with bites of sesame dressing splashed finely shredded cabbage, which helps cleanse the palate while eating the rich pork. I’ve also tried the pork tenderloin (delicious but less filling that the atsugiri) and both the pork and chicken katsu touban-ni (katsu with piping egg simmered in broth, great on those rare cold Vegas days). The tempura scallops and oysters are also delicious bites that shouldn’t be missed.
If you are looking for authentic katsu, come and let Masa and Reiko, the couple who owns and runs this restaurant, show you the meaning of Japanese hospitality. Just try to get here early as there is often a queue right before opening. They also close between the lunch and dinner seatings, so keep that in mind when you make your plans to stop by.
Also, weird plug but definitely take a peek into the bathroom, it will leave an impression.

Great Katsu restaurant! The Katsu is definitely similarly made to what you would get in Japan! It’s a thin lightly batter crisped to perfection! I got the chicken Katsu, which was really tender inside! The scallops were also nice and tender. Service was quick, and the workers were really friendly!

Ton Ton Katsuya is the reason I go to Las Vegas. Their Loin Katsu is truly one of a kind — thick, tender, and perfectly fried to a light, crisp texture. The marbled fat adds such a rich, nutty flavor that every bite feels like a burst of umami. You’ll find yourself wishing each piece would last just a little longer.
The slightly frosted Asahi beer I ordered alongside was the perfect pairing — crisp, refreshing, and a flawless match for the katsu.
There aren’t many tables, so I usually end up waiting about an hour. But this time, I went right at the 5 PM dinner opening on Friday and was lucky enough to be seated right away. It was an absolutely delightful meal.

Katsuya Ton Ton, hands down, serves the best katsu in Las Vegas. The tables are limited in number but the service and food is exceptional. All meals are prepared fresh and delivered to your table hot and fresh. How does Kasuya Ton Ton accomplish this? The menu is simple so it is easy for customers to make their choices. The meals then arrive with a delicious salad with a one-of-a-kind dressing, steamed rice, miso soup, picked vegetables and your choice of katsu. Make plans to dine with your family and they will not be disappointed.

Absolutely always consistent and always delicious and attentive service… today I had the Berkshire pork Kurobuta tonkatsu and the fried oysters and a tea total was about $50…. Not including tip….And it was absolutely worth it so thank you and great job and keep up the good work. See you soon again!

Came in with a party of 5 and spoke with the lady at the front. There was an open table and we told her it would be okay to split our group. We were informed it would be an hour wait. There was no one on the wait-list at the time. Groups of 2 and 3 came in after and were seated within 15 mins. We decided not to wait after being discriminated against.

This place was recommended to us by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. This is one of their family’s favorite spot to eat and I couldn’t agree more. The ambience is just very asian as if you were actually in japan including the staff. The pork tenderloin katsu is perfectly cooked, thick and tender cuts but not dry. Their cabbage salad and sesame seed mix sauce matches perfectly with the japanese rice and compliments the katsu. And the scallops for appetizers are sooo good then the salad and rice are refillable and it also comes with a miso soup.

Ton Ton Katsuya offers authentic Japanese tonkatsu (pork cutlets) as well as chicken cutlets, fried shrimp, and other traditional dishes like katsudon. Absolutely delicious and highly recommend Their home made tofu was 10/10 and their salmon appetizer was tasty. Their green tea warabi mochi dessert was my favorite! Highly recommend going at 11:30am so you avoid the long wait. It’s a popular spot and a small restaurant, so be prepared to wait!

This time, I ordered the hire katsu, and my husband ordered the katsu with egg. Everything was delicious. I also highly recommend the scallop and oyster katsu.
Even the cabbage which is just cabbage but tasted amazing.
The service was very fast and excellent.
Also, our entire group was impressed by the restroom, lol. It had a bidet and even mouthwash, just like in Japan.
