Tom’s Fried Chicken delivers that classic Southern comfort food experience with hearty portions and homestyle flavor. The fried chicken is the star of the plate—crispy golden-brown batter with a satisfying crunch, yet juicy and tender inside. It’s seasoned well without being overpowering, letting the chicken shine.
The sides round out the meal nicely. The fried okra is done right—crispy outside with a soft, flavorful bite inside, not greasy. The green beans are simple and savory, a good balance against the heavier fried items. The soft roll adds that extra touch of comfort to tie the meal together.
What stands out most is how authentic and filling the plate feels. This isn’t fast food—it’s the kind of fried chicken that reminds you of family gatherings and small-town diners.
Without a doubt, this is the best fried chicken in Fort Worth—a must-try for locals and visitors alike.

Lady at the counter was super helpful and took care of me the best she could despite it being a busy diner rush! AND the food came out fresh and delicious… if she hasn’t gotten one already, this associate deserves a raise and/or some help!

My mother and I went there on Friday January 30th in the afternoon. The lady who took our order was super friendly and very helpful! The prices and selections are out of this world in a good way. We will definitely be going back!

Absolutely delicious food! Will be back! I’ve been passing by this place for a while now today I decided to stop in and it was worth it. Kind of sad I’ve been driving by it for so long. Stop and get you some food and enjoy yourself!

While you can’t satisfy everyone (hence some of the negative reviews on here) take them with a grain is salt. Tried this place in a whim and it sure as heck paid off. Large portions, food was great and the pricing was beyond what other places charge.
Support the little guy. I intend to go here more often as their food was better by a mile compared to the other chicken and seafood place whose tenders tend to taste more like fish. Toms, their tenders and fries tasted as they should off. Oh and last thing everyone at this place was friendly and courteous.

The prices are fantastic! Very affordable.
The legs and the thighs were excellent.
Will definitely be back for these ! This store deserves more customers and more love .
The tenders were so-so , more like off the restaurant Depo frozen section. Perhaps they could improve upon this one. Same with the gravy too. Extremely salty.

Aside from the grease being old my biggest concern is that whoever is supplying their thighs are actually cutting one-third of the meat from the thigh. The thighs do not appear to be a triangle they are a rectangle, because of a portion of the dark meat being cut away before the chicken is sold to the restaurant. But even if the chicken was whole, the burnt grease make sure that it has nothing of desire. Chicken gizzards or burnt to a crisp. The amount of batter on the gizzards was 4 times as much as the gizzard. The gizzard itself, small, tough, and burnt. I had wash my hands of this Lisa’s location, but decided to give it another chance 8 months ago. Everything was fine when I came back then, but I see that they reverted back to their old ways. I recommend that you go to the branch on Camp Bowie, it’s only a couple miles away.
