Food is 10/10 and value is also 10/10. My first time and meal in Geneva and I can’t say how amazed my wife and I were.
Very Charming and cozy atmosphere.
Can’t wait to return
We (a group of 5) stopped in a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday and didn’t have a reservation. Turns out, those are a must as the entire restaurant was fully booked up. Fortunately, they offered us the 5 seats at the bar and that turned out to be an incredible experience.
4 of us ordered the filet with the morel sauce and one had the boeuf a la plancha. For dessert, we had the creme brulee and the chestnut vermicelli. Both courses were absolutely incredible. The steaks were perfection and the sauces were incredible. AS stuffed as we were we couldn’t resist them after watching them from our bar stools all night.
The atmosphere was a major highlight as well–it was a warm, relaxed, inviting, and very unpretentious setting, which you don’t always get when food is this amazing. It is run by a small family team and it is quite an operation to witness. Even though they were all systems go with very prompt and attentive service, the entire family/staff were still extraordinarily friendly and laid-back. This place is truly a gem.
The food here is awesome and I cannot expect more from a small restaurant not so obvious at the tourist spot.
The foie gras is delicious with the bread and special sauce in the plate. The medium rare beef plancha is cooked perfectly, the sauce on the top adds amazing flavor to it. The veal’s mustard sauce tastes so good that we dipped our fries and bread in it until the sauce is completely gone. We could not say no to the tarte tatin dessert. I love the way in French cooking to cook the pear and served with home made ice cream
