First time at Tom’s for breakfast. Prices are very reasonable which is a plus. However, my food being served by a rolling robot is not good customer service at dine in.. This robot should be always be looking clean (frame wise) which was not. I don’t want my food served by a dirty robot. My order was delivered incomplete. I was forced to ask a human server for utensils and for my toast. My hashbrowns were somewhat raw, i could taste it. Ugh!! Very disappointed.

Classic diner vibes with a cat robot serving orders. The restaurant was pretty clean and tidy. The food is freshly cooked once you order, and the robot delivers it to your table. The portions are pretty big. Everything was very tasty!

First time here. Imagine my surprise at the size of the menu! The name is misleading. It’s not just burgers. It is so much more. Breakfast and salads to hotdogs and burgers or chicken and the list goes on.
The delivery by a robot was a complete surprise. I did not know to expect that. Nor did I know to push a button to send it on its way once I was done removing my meal. Luckily a couple in front of me was there to advise me. Gotta bring mom here to see this.
My Patty Melt was what I hoped for. You’d be surprised by how many places get it wrong. It was delish and I did note the fries were not salted. That could be for dietary preference. I did receive a cup of Ranch dressing to dip, but stuck to good ol ketchup. Tasted fine.
The reason not five stars, is the RC Cola. I didn’t know they still made that. It tastes as weird today as it ever did. Coke Zero would have completed my meal with five stars.
The tables and floor are clean. That speaks volumes. If you want to know how clean the kitchen is, just look in the bathrooms. That tells you all you need to know. They were clean. As expected. Come on down and try it. I’ll definitely be back with mom. She’s gotta see the robot. The menu is so big though, I may need to go online and help her decide before we arrive.

I had no expectations for this place other than hoping it was open. I came here the day after Christmas and before coming here I had tried a few places that were closed.
The French toast was really really good, they also had one of those robots send out the food which was funny to watch. It was good dinner food, and I would come back for lunch to try other items on the menu.

Tom’s Famous has been one of my favorites going away back to when I was attending Palomar College. Even after all these years, it’s still just as good as I remember!
Perfect for someone looking for a fast yet delicious lunch, or in need of a breakfast! My personal recommendation is trying the zucchini fries! Oh, and the cobb salad is big enough for two people! Absolutely delicious.
Staff are always friendly and patient! Food is always hot and fresh. What’s not to love?

Cat serving robots and delicious burgers! This was our first time and it was definitely a place we’d return to.
Only negative was it is a little pricey for a burger/fries/drink combo ($15-17).
For positives- the portions were generous! My burger had over a half an avocado and 3or4 huge strips of bacon and was absolutely delicious. My husband prefers slightly crispier or thicker fries, but myself and our kids thought they were great and I especially enjoyed the seasoning on them. And they have a cat robot!!!! I mean, way to impress my kids because that was so fun to watch and listen to.
I can’t wait to eat there again.

You guys have great breakfast cooked amazing and perfect! I love the atmosphere and the customer service ! I just recently tried your lunch menu and I was disappointed in what I had tried ! The ribeye steak sandwich was flavorless and the sandwich was made poorly ! Maybe if you guys cut the steak before putting it in the sandwich and added a bit more flavor to the steak it would’ve been great!

This is one of those true old tyme diners not a fancy stylized diner like Ruby’s. The food is basic but well portioned and high quality. Coffee is excellent. Prices are reasonable for families or those on a budget. Service is excellent. It can be busy at mealtimes. The steak was tender. However the biscuits and gravy were oddly flavorless. Other items were excellent.
