The buffalo chicken wrap was very fresh tasting. The nuggets were so moist and delicious! The onion rings were crispy and the onion didn’t fall out when biting it. The crinkle fries are what they are. I am not a fan of crinkle cut. They were good dipped in BBQ The hush puppies were very tasty and hot. The strips were good, but the nuggets were better. I will be back to try new things

God bless the owners — what a wonderful place.
This is hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The restaurant is spotless, the equipment is top‑of‑the‑line, and they keep the fryer oil fresh, so everything comes out tasting incredible and perfectly golden brown.
Service was outstanding and impressively quick. I even had the chance to speak with the owners’ grandson, James, and it’s clear this place isn’t driven by money. It’s driven by pride — pride in great food, fair prices, and family tradition.
If you’re anywhere near here, make the detour. You’ll be glad you did.

This place is absolutely BANGING! banging. Take that to the bank. I cannot tell you enough how Josiah and his team take 7minutes (they got a system) to make the best chicken sandwich I’ve had in my life. I’m a country boy and I eat. The combination of speed and taste here makes this gem hidden in the middle of nowhere off highway 17 a mandatory stop.
Chicken sandwich 10/10
Coleslaw 7.8/10

For a place with one other person, waited 10+ mins..only to get food that was so cold I wonder how long it was sitting there not even under warning lamps. $30 for a kids corn dog with fries and a 3 piece combo with fries (2 legs and a thigh) and just blah. I’d have been better off crossing the street to Zaxby’s. I came due to good reviews but clearly something has changed here.

Lots of activity in front of Tom’s Chicken Shack today! If you are this close you better go get some of that Amazing Chicken! Tom’s is an institution here in Bartow and can’t be missed.

First time stopping in and immediately noticed how steep the prices were , but I ordered anyway (bc treat yo’self, ya know?). I love fried gizzards and thought I’d try theirs. The gizzards were tender but could have been a bit more seasoned in my opinion. There were also a lot tough pieces which sucks because they’re inedible and included in the weight. I could understand getting 2 or 3 tough pieces in a 1/2lb but there were quite a few. When raw you can usually tell which pieces will be tough by color so I’m not sure why they’re not picked out. I don’t regret stopping by, but will continue to go to CC&F in Lakeland because their gizzards NEVER miss. *chef’s kiss*

I am 42 years old, and a FL native, spending a great deal of time in GA and the Carolinas as a youn’g. When I travel, I look for 3 things:

1. Fried Chicken (not counting wings; gimme dark meat or a well fried breast please and thank you)
2. Shrimp ‘n’ Grits
3. Biscuits n gravy

I am in no way suggesting I’ve tried all the fried chicken in the South (I hope to accomplish this one day).

But…DAMN these dudes at Tom’s can COOK SOME CHICKEN!!! My biggest complaint is that I have to drive 90min to get it, which I (hand to god) seriously consider EVERY WEEKEND.

Only reason I left 4 stars for atmosphere is because there was no shade on the patio (gotta let ya’ll know somehow, right?).

Otherwise, in my experience, which encompasses no less than 120 fried chicken spots, you all got something special. Much love, and I want to talk franchise or somethin cause this needs to be in my city.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!**
There are too many things wrong here. I’ll start by saying there’s no reason on earth a restaurant that’s open until 9pm should have the dining area closed to guests at 730pm. Also, the food was already cooked, which explains why everything was questionably dry but oily at the same time. DO NOT expect fresh food here. Now, considering the ridiculous prices, I was filled with even more disappointment and flat-out regret when I arrived home with our food. It was legitimately just disgusting. I’ve literally eaten school food that was far superior to that overpriced junk. Please save your money and use it elsewhere!! I WANT A REFUND!!

I came here based off of a friend’s recommendation for the first time and experienced nothing but obscene attitude, along with disrespect towards my family. As much as the food is good, I definitely will not be returning. First and last time for me & the people I brought.

Fish really sucked tonight!

Chicken is much better during lunch hour.

Cole slaw dry as a bone.

In town for the night and would have been better off going to Perkins.
