Very thankful we did not end up getting sick from their food.
Absolutely disgusting sushi.
Came in with hopeful attitude that a new Japanese place in our neighborhood would replace one of our favorites that had just closed down the street.
It was a holiday weekend and we were starving and craving sushi. We came in and saw very few people in there. The young host turned out to be our waiter as well. He was a nice and positive server but had little understanding of Japanese food or the menu.
We ordered salads. It was a typical garden salad with creamy ginger dressing. The portion was small, the flavor was OK, the veggies were not all that fresh and there was a little too much dressing on it. No big deal….
Once we ordered the rolls, they were there in 5 minutes. That should’ve been a red flag. Even though the place was slow, there’s no way even an accomplished sushi chef could put together 5 rolls in that time. We were starving so we didn’t think about it. All I noticed was that the rolls were absolutely drenched in sauce. The term mushy came to mind when eating them.
The sushi (non-rolls) were pale in color and lukewarm in temperature. We ended up eating less than half and realizing we were potentially putting our health in danger if we were to continue.
All during this a couple of dazed looking diners were at the hibachi table. A family of five walked in during our meal and about 10 minutes later they all walked out with a scowled look. Not sure what happened, but they had the right idea…
We were still hungry and figured perhaps we couldn’t go wrong with dessert. Well, somehow they even made the dessert unedible. It’s been over a month since our experience there, so I can’t share the details about it but it was definitely forgettable.
Best bet is to avoid this place. I usually give places more than 1 chance, but considering how poor our experience was on this night, we will never give this place a 2nd chance….

The restaurant was pretty much empty a little after 8 – 2 Hibachi tables with families and a group of guys. The server was prompt and cool at the beginning but like 10 minutes after I got my food while I was still eating she asked me if I wanted a box!! What!? I’m still eating!! The she asked me was I ready for the check. I felt like I was being rushed so I finished my beverage, boxed my food and paid the check. Will not return so not cool to rush me. And my steak was luke warm. Go if you want to.

Worst service I have ever had. It was my idea to go there and i told friends about the restaurant so we all went. We gave our drink order and we asked for chop sticks since they didn’t have any at the table not a big deal. But when the cook starts preparing the food we still didn’t have the chopsticks when we finally got our waitress attention and asked for the chopsticks again her comment to us was “Oh you want them now?” as opposed to when? I thought to myself. The food came all out of order the soup was decent enough but instead of getting our salads to us before the main dish it came as we were almost finished not to mention the face we had to ask for the sauce from the cook as he gave us a look as if he didn’t want to give it to us. The portions were nice the food was tasty but if that the level of service to expect when it is slow there I’d rather go to a burger joint. The price is fair but you get what you pay for… Sorry service for a relatively cheap meal. Go somewhere else.

Huge Portion, Won Ton (I think that was our chef’s name) was great and entertaining. Saturday for lunch was a great time to try them out! The staff was attentive and very engaging.

We’ve been there a few times and have enjoyed it. The portions are very large. The specialty rolls are fun and tasty! Some of the names are “R” rated, so I wouldn’t suggest a pre-teen picking out the rolls! It seems the staff is inexperienced, and sometimes it causes a delay in the food delivery. Hopefully, that will improve with time.

Not the best! I would stick with Oishi or Kitaro for hibachi. I’m not picky but soup had no flavor, steak overcooked, scallops undercooked. No sauces for dipping. I also suggest some nice Japanese music playing as it was way too quiet and it made you feel you needed to whisper. Chef was fun though and I was in great company!
