Stopped by Tommy’s Restaurant for breakfast and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food came out hot, fresh, and fast — the potato, egg, and bacon tacos were simple but perfectly done, with great flavor and that classic comforting Tex-Mex breakfast feel. Everything tasted homemade and hit the spot without feeling heavy.
Service really made the experience stand out. Maria took great care of me — friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without ever being overbearing. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure customers have a good experience.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it’s an easy place to sit down, enjoy a good meal, and start the day right. Great prices, great service, and great food. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in San Antonio.

Highly recommend. Really the standard of breakfast tacos others judged against. Consistently great tortillas. Stuffed tacos. Great enchilada assortment (try the guisada!). Nice and clean, friendly folks, reasonably priced. Been to multiple Tommy’s around town, like this one the best. Parking a bit tight, but lots of tables so never a wait (seat yourself). And ask for the quemada salsa, excellent smoky taste really enhances. Enjoy this Tommy’s enough that worth the drive to go often.

Was my first visit to Tommy’s and I ordered the Enchiladas Guisadas. They were excellent, and despite the lunch crowd, we were seated pretty quick, and our food was out after an average wait for this size Sunday crowd.
My enchiladas were flavorful, the portion was good, the carne guisada sauce was very good, not your average gravy type carne guisada, this had more chile powder in it. I asked for onions on my enchiladas, and a huge amount was added (no complaints there).
Chips and salsa were good, tasted fresh, salsa was chunky, with a good amount of garlic and a little heat to it.
Overall this is definitely a place I would eat at again.

Tommy’s on San Pedro never disappoints. The food was absolutely outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every bite tasted like it was made with care and quality ingredients. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. Great atmosphere, great food, and great people. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others!

Fantastic breakfast tacos! Simple and delicious! Bacon egg and cheese what I am assuming was a homemade tortilla. The salsa Verde on the table was excellent. Large portions. Everyone liked their meal. The place was packed on a Sunday morning, and they do a lot of pick up / carry out business. Lots of parking available. Service was pleasant and prompt. Orders were accurate. They were good about proactive refills. Prices were fair. Great place to go for breakfast!!

We come here every single Sunday without fail! We love the enchiladas! Our favorite server is Mariana, she’s always giving great service and so kind to us. Tommy’s on San Pedro and Jackson Keller will always be our Sunday tradition.

This is my girlfriend & I’s, go-to Mexican restaurant! Everything we’ve gotten so far coming here is always on point with flavor and the freshness. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I feel nowadays customer service is hard to find at times but not at Tommies! ♥️

First, our server, Yasmeen, was incredibly attentive, sweet and friendly! The music vibe (oldies [50s & 60s] and tejano) set a perfect casual mood for breakfast. Our Barbacoa tacos were perfect to taste. If you haven’t tried Barbadill taco, it’s a must try! The combination of pickels and barbacoa sounds strange but it’s incredible how they went together in a taco. Now, I love Big Red so when I say their Big Red is a perfect mix, that’s an understatement! I had 4 or 5 cups.YUMMM!!! Thankgoodness for free refills!!!!!!! Not only was the Big Red taste amazing but really pair well with the tacos!!!! Over-all experience, a 10!!! Also, Thank You Adriana for your friendly smile!
