Stoned Soup
I stopped by this place since it was near the music venue I was attending. I first went for dinner. I wanted to try the turkey sloppy Joe, but it looked like it had been sitting out for a while. No line, grabbed a bbq sandwich with slab cheese on sourdough bread. Was delicious. Then, after Show, Stopped and grabbed the same sandwich but on wheat bread. The sandwich was delicious but the sandwich wasn’t really that big for the price you pay. The slab of cheese is 2 slices of cheese. If ever in that area again will for sure try one of the plates they offer.

This is a neighborhood bar that has become iconic for visitors. Great drinks, strong if you like them that way. Bartenders are great.

Tommy’s Joynt is a classic in the city. Classic American food in a bar environment. Definitely worth to check it out, the meat is delicious and they always have quite some options there. Don’t hesitate to grab a beer in addition to the food

This place is Iconic. Always homemade like grandma made. Great memorabilia all over. Kitchen staff is the sweetest ever. If you want anything extra they are super accommodating. Fun place to escape the city for a second.

And I’ll tell you why…it’s the best french dip sandwich in the state.

The place is obviously unique and has a long history, and the interior design and general atmosphere is very cool. I certainly wouldn’t wanna see it go away. But unfortunately the food I got was gross; the meatball sandwich was like something you’d get slopped onto your tray in a low income high school cafeteria by some sweaty old hag in a hair net.

Tommy Joynt is a very cool atmosphere and has a long, interesting history. If you’re in the area give it a shot, although the food is nothing extraordinary. They serve a Hofbrau cafeteria-style food service. This term derived from the German term Hofbräu, which originally referred to a brewery with historical ties to a royal court. Such breweries often have beer gardens where food is served.

The two Chefs were amazing, personable, delightful, entertaining. Samuel has more personality than his brother, the money handler.

Excellent comfort food. Be warned – it’s not your typical dining experience… But the food is truly superb.

A nice place to eat. Great portions. Lots to look at. Good prices. Good Cole slaw. Fast service. No parking of course. Definitely come in, there’s a reason this place has been here for a million years.
