On the final day of Restaurant Week and after attending the cocktail party at the flagship store downstairs. We decided to have a late dinner. The 3-course offerings made it hard to select dishes. However, we started with the Crab Cakes. I especially like the Cole Slaw that accompanied the cake. I had the Crab Soup and my friend had the Gumbo. Great choices for our second apps. The pièce de rèsistance was the Roasted Chicken and the Lobster Pasta!!! I could’ve stretched out on the bench and went right to Lala land. Thanks to our waiter Tony, who took very good care of us! We can’t wait to return and try some other offerings.

Located right above the Tommy Bahama clothing store the vibe carries directly over in theme & feel. The atmosphere feels straight out of a high end carribean & Hawaiian eatery. Price points were quite reasonable. The food selection is what you’d expect in scope (island focused) and excellent concessions for the younger crowd replete with kid-friendly offerings. The casual yet quiet atmosphere was a nice break from the busy & loud NYC streets. I sampled the coconut shrimp as well as my young son’s pasta and was quite pleased. Overall I found this upscale casual restaurant strikes a nice balance between value, taste, and atmosphere. I recommend.

Loved it! The environment was beautiful and quiet—perfect for having a nice conversation with my young man. While spending time in NYC, we decided to stop in for a meal, and it was the perfect choice. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the calm atmosphere made it a wonderful place to relax and connect. Thank you!

Had Sunday lunch here and the food was delicious. The coconut shrimp and the spaghetti squash bowl were both excellent. The place wasn’t busy, which made it a perfect spot to enjoy the relaxed Bahama vibe — a great, laid-back lunch.

The best scallops sliders in my life! Chicken Gumbo was great too! Highly recommend for a good place with the great view in the heart of Manhattan

The staff here are wonderful—especially the gentleman downstairs, who was exceptionally polite and helpful, as were the other team members. The food was quite delicious, and surprisingly, even though it was a Sunday, the place wasn’t very crowded. I think it’s an underrated spot that deserves more attention. Definitely worth a try, especially for couples looking for a quiet, peaceful, and charming place.

Angel is by far the best bartender ever! Drinks are amazing, food is legit! We’re from Louisiana and the seafood is so amazing! And the menu is almost all discounted from 3pm-7pm! Definitely a hidden gem! Kids are welcome in the bar area and it’s so chill! Angel is so kind-he works the bar and the seated area! I can’t say enough good things!

Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar
If you’re looking for that perfect island-meets-coastal-chic dining experience in Waikiki, Tommy Bahama absolutely delivers.
Let’s start with the star of the show: the blackened Mahi Mahi fish tacos. They are simply amazing. The fish is perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of char and spice, flaky and fresh in every bite. But what truly elevates them is the in-house made corn and flour tortillas, hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Soft, warm, and flavorful, they hold everything together beautifully without overpowering the fish. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m going back tonight for as many as I can fit in before leaving Hawaii tomorrow.
And then there’s the famous coconut shrimp crispy, golden, and cooked to perfection. Paired with a fresh, vibrant slaw and an absolutely incredible chutney, the combination hits every note: sweet, savory, crunchy, and refreshing all at once. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the plate is empty.
The vibe? Spot on. Think Hamptons beach house transplanted to paradise. The large wood shutter windows, ship lap beach house boards, and breezy, coastal design make the space feel charming and relaxed yet polished. Tommy, you got it all right.
My only small complaint would be the lighting. The atmosphere is already so inviting, but dimming the ceiling lights just a bit would warm it up even more and really let that cozy, intimate dinner-time glow take effect. It’s charming as is, just a touch softer lighting would make it absolutely perfect.
All in all, this place is a must-visit in Waikiki. Incredible food, beautiful atmosphere, and a laid-back island elegance that makes you want to linger.
See you later. I’ve got fish tacos waiting.

We only stopped for drinks so can’t comment on good. The cocktails are great , from a wide ranging drinks menu. Really nice decor and atmosphere making for an excellent place to grab a drink after all the shopping on 5th Avenue!

I absolutely adore this location! The two male bartenders who are always stationed on the first floor after 5 PM are a huge plus. However, I had to deduct a star because of the female Philippine manager who handles inventory at night. She exudes a negative energy and approaches the bar with a lack of customer interaction. Perhaps it would be beneficial for her to complete the inventory after hours, given her limited interpersonal skills.
