This was by far the worst sushi I’ve ever had I’ve had better sushi in San Bernardino. Their rolls were tiny and the fish tasted old. We got all this food for almost $300 and it didn’t even fill us up. They forgot the condiments the chopsticks the napkins really disappointed with what we got tonight. Let’s hope I don’t get food poisoning.

The salmon is probably the best in LA, I have been to many sushi restaurants but I keep coming back here because no where else has this good salmon, even high end hand rolls ones. The chicken skewers are amazing as well. And lastly, my favorite dish, eel, is 1000/10. I will eat at this place for the rest of my life.

This a small neighborhood sushi restaurant. The food is really fresh. Proper portions for the price. The presentation of food is traditional. A great selection of food and drinks. For such a small restaurant the menu is large. Service is fast and pleasant. Parking in this small strip mall is tight but free. Lunch time this place gets crowded. Order ahead is best during lunchtime. There is a large TV with sports and music throughout the restaurant.

We go to Tomi Sushi once per week. We are always greeted by Tomi and Jackie like friends. And they treat us like family. The fish is always incredibly fresh. Low carb options, the Sexy Roll being my favorite. Sexy because it’s gorgeous. They have a Lobster Roll that comes out baked and yet you taste every single element. Hint: Try to go when they open to avoid the wait.

I don’t have a refined pallette for sushi, so I really can’t judge the quality of the sushi. However, it was tasty and I appreciated how the server was honest in saying that the curry dishes weren’t what the restaurant was known for. All staff I interacted with were very friendly.
I ended up getting a Bento box with:
– salad
– miso soup
– 8 California rolls
– 6 ‘crunch’ rolls (had shrimp with crunch topping around the rice)
– 5 salmon rolls
It was all generally tasty.

Okay but seriously, this sushi shop is some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. Everything is super fresh and the fish literally melts in your mouth. I’ve come back multiple times over the course of a couple of years and each time is satisfactory.
The employees are friendly as well as the atmosphere is quite relaxing.

We’ve ordered from here before and had a bad experience; the delivery was late and the fish had blood lines in it. We gave them a second shot and was equally not impressed. The sushi did not taste fresh and the rolls were mediocre at best. The nigiri tuna was rubbery. Overall for $70+ this was such a bummer

Second time ordering from Tomi. This time I had a great experience. Delivery was fast. Food was very good. Salmon was fresh, blue fit tuna was very tasty. Yellowtail was very flavorful I really enjoyed it. I liked their Micro soup since it was not very salty like most of the places. Perfect for my taste. CCR was also great as well as cucumber roll.

I’ve been to Tomi sushi a handful of times & have really enjoyed their sushi selections. The prices are pretty good compared to other places in the surrounding area of Playa Del Rey & Marina del Rey. I’ve had their food to go as well as dining in. Most recently due to the nature of things I would say it wasn’t the best experience as the order took a bit longer than promised via DoorDash to be prepared for pickup. Other than that the food is always fresh & delicious!
