The food was prepared quickly and arrived at the table promptly. Everything looked really good. The home fries was nicely fried in small pieces. The omelette was perfectly made with ham, onions, and green peppers. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the latte was delicious, smooth, and full of flavor. The required condiments were available on the table. The restaurant also has various bakery items, but I was too full to try any.
As people constantly came in, whether solo, in pairs, or in a large group, the tables were filling up very fast, leading me to believe that this is a good place to come and get some good food. Tom Sawyer restaurant is open daily, serving both breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices. I look forward to visiting here again.
The menu had a good variety of options, and I found the food to be tasty and satisfying. The portions were generous, and the presentation was simple but appealing. I especially appreciated the friendly service—everyone was attentive and made sure we had what we needed without being intrusive.
The restaurant is easy to find, and parking was convenient. Overall, Tom Sawyer’s is a solid choice if you’re looking for a casual, no-fuss place to enjoy a good meal in Boca Raton.

No fancy over done super expensive food
Classic home cooking
Highly reccomend this hidden gem
Walking into Thomas Sawyer’s Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale (or Coral Springs area) instantly feels like stepping into a warm country lodge. The walls are filled with vintage artifacts, nostalgic signs, and rustic touches that make you feel right at home. It’s like a Cracker Barrel, but much more authentic and personal – you can tell every detail was chosen with love and character.
The breakfast menu is phenomenal. From perfectly cooked eggs and fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets and crisp bacon, everything tastes homemade. The pastry display alone deserves five stars — easily one of the best I’ve seen in South Florida when combined with the atmosphere. Each pastry looks incredible, from croissants and muffins to unique baked treats that are flaky, fresh, and delicious. It’s almost impossible to walk out without trying one. And that’s after you have the unique breakfast in a pot literally served in the pot – and it’s a nice pot too. A higher end cookware series.
What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere: friendly staff, family-friendly vibe, and that comforting “old Florida” charm that’s getting harder to find. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Thomas Sawyer’s is one of those rare spots you’ll want to come back to again and again.
Highly recommend for breakfast lovers, families, and anyone who enjoys a place with real soul and character.

I’d give Tom Sawyer Restaurant a solid 3 out of 5 stars. It’s a decent, no-frills spot that delivers about what you’d expect from a classic Northwoods diner.
The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, with that traditional up-north charm. It feels welcoming and comfortable, especially if you’re stopping in after a day on the lake. Service was friendly overall, though a bit inconsistent — we had to wait longer than expected for refills and the check.
The food was good but not memorable. Portions were generous, which I appreciated, but the flavors were fairly standard. Nothing was bad, just nothing that really stood out either. It’s the kind of place that satisfies your hunger without necessarily wowing you.
Overall, Tom Sawyer is reliable and comfortable — a fine choice if you’re nearby and want a casual meal — but probably not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit.
