The good:
1. Our waitress was friendly and knew the menu. She assisted through the whole process and checked on us multiple times.
2. The chocolate martini was amazing and the toasted marshmallows were perfect
3. Shrimp
4. The browned butter cake with berries was amazing! Warm and gooey!
The Ok:
1. The fish but my hubby has had better.
The bad:
1. The chicken was over salted.
2. The garlic mashed potatoes were finished with beef bouillon or fat and on the colder side as the little bowl was not heated.
I ate about 1/3 of my plate as it was so salted but we are still charged full price. Now that was disappointing!
The atmosphere is not fine dining with the light colored floor, the cafeteria tables and the old rock and roll music playing. No dress code apparently.
Don’t worry about reserving online as there was NOT a wait at dinner. We reserved and they wanted $25 on the credit card if we didn’t show up and $25/person if we added anyone to our reservation.
In the long run, give me Connors Steakhouse or Longhorns. Better food and better flavors, at less cost.
My companion had Jack Daniels Marinated Tenderloin Tips and Shrimp with the Red Wine Dimi-Glace and it was perfect. We didn’t have room for desert but enjoyed 2 orders anyway.
It’s a little pricey (who isn’t?), but we will return soon. Looking forward to the Bisque.
The rolls were ok.
I had the tenderloin tops with mashed sweet potatoes. Yummy! Such a great flavor for the steak.
J had the bison filet and baked potato. It was tender and tasty!
We had the house made dessert- which was a cake with fruit compote. Fabulous! This place was pricey but it was worth it! We will be back.
We were seated promptly and the table location was fine. We ordered drinks and mentioned it was my birthday. Our server said “aww,” which was appreciated. Shortly after, we received two very small pieces of bread.
When our food arrived, both entrées were cold. I ordered a 14oz ribeye, and it was so cold that the butter on top wouldn’t melt. My girlfriend’s lobster bisque and asparagus were also cold. I politely asked if my steak could just be heated up and apologized for the inconvenience.
When it came back, the steak was cooked well done even though I ordered it medium. After that, we did not see our server again until the check. No drink refills, no check-in, nothing. We had also asked for a dessert menu and never received one.
While waiting, we noticed the table next to us received a birthday cake with a candle and their family sang happy birthday, which made the experience feel even more awkward given the lack of attention we received.
Overall, the service and food quality were disappointing, especially for a birthday dinner. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this establishment and do not plan to return.
When we didn’t think it could get any better we were wrong. We ordered the Lamb Shanks and that bad boy was falling off the bone and so tender. With its sides of garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables it was quite the perfect dish it’s presentation was also fantastic
As full as we were we HAD to try their desserts! Now this was one my favorite parts of the whole experience- asking to see the dessert menu only for our waiter to come back out with the actual desserts to look at and choose from. Bravo to this place on that- what a clever idea! Anyways- we eyed and chose the Chocolate Cake (with ice cream!) and were VERY happy with our choice! The warmth of the cake with the cool of the ice cream was pure joy in food form. Loved. It
The whole restaurant itself is adorably decorated and full of so many fun surprises. The seating was incredibly comfortable and the service over all was excellent. We will definitely be back
The King salmon was perfectly prepared for me, unfortunately they go by portion weight, so my daughter-in-law’s was slightly overcooked. The scallops were perfectly cooked, loaded potato was great. The steaks ordered by other members of the party were cooked as ordered, juicy, tender and very flavorful. You will not need any “steak sauce” with these steaks. We did order pork belly and firecracker shrimp as appetizers. Received 5 extra jumbo shrimp cooked appropriately covered with a hot sauce. The pork belly was disappointing, was a little on the dry side.
We finished the evening with the carrot cake for dessert. The slice is definitely large enough to share 2 or 3 ways. It was fantastic, perfect end to a wonderful meal
