I made a reservation for my daughter’s birthday; having been before and enjoying the experience, I expected similar service. Unfortunately it was not. The chef did not put on a show at all. The salads came out after we had been served our meat. The chef did not cook the rice on the hibachi, the waiter brought it from the kitchen. With the exception of the cold flavorless rice, the food was good and the waitress was quick with drinks. I was just really disappointed with the chef.

Tokyo Teppanyaki Restaurant has the best “to go” Chinese food in Grants Pass – I was a little surprised myself, realizing they specialize in Japanese cuisine…but their Chinese food is excellent.

I especially recommend their General Tsaos Chicken – spicy & sweet & decadent all at the same time.

I love having the option of steamed or fried rice with entrees – we usually get at least one of each and the variety is nice.

Highly recommended!!!

The worst Japanese food I have ever had. Slow service and uncooked food! The wontons were doughy, the fried rice had no flavor and the shrimp and vegetables were greasy and felt like paste. I wouldn’t even bring a doggie bag home worried that my dogs would get food poisoning. Lingering fowl taste in my mouth and an angry tummy. Do not come here thinking that this is a good place base on the atmosphere and the prices. This is disgusting and horrible.

The menu shows that this place doesn’t know exactly what kind of restaurant it is. It has Japanese, Chinese, Korean… and who knows how many other types of cuisines.

We got some of the lunch specials and it all (rice, yakisoba noodles, chicken, etc.) seemed like it had been reheated from the day before. It was edible but very disappointing. Just glad I didn’t order a more expensive dish, so I didn’t waste any more money.

Been coming here for awhile now and it’s always good. Good service, and really great food. Fish is always cooked perfectly, tender and flakey. This picture is the shrimp pad Thai, one of my favorites.

I love Tokyo everytime they serve good food! Ive only had seafood here though so I can’t say much else but the shrimp is on point as well as the calamari.

The Teppanyaki chef was awesome and inclusive, with lots of fun tricks. The food on the other hand is mediocre. If you’re wanting entertainment though, it’s the best (sorry, only) teppanyaki in town!

My family and I dropped in on a sunday. Food was fantastic, service was great, and we all had fun. The salmon and shrimp was very flavorful. We had a great time.

Well I guess they get one star for answering their phone! Called to ask if they had dumplings and was hung up on not once but TWICE. “No dumpling! No dumpling!” Click *dial tone* RUDE if I got that kind of service over the phone I can only imagine how they treat their costumers that come in a dine!
