The new owners are very friendly and accommodating. They have a nice selection of specialty rolls that taste fresh and are reasonably priced. Further, they have a wide range of non sushi items. I tried the hibachi steak, and it was delicious.

First time having a hibachi me and the wife were looking for something new and they were awesome. Service was great and food was even better. I decided to try some of their sushi and left with a California roll and that was awesome as well . Prices were great. We will be going back soon. It’s nice to see there are still people in food service that love what they do.

This is my ‘go to’ for take-out when I don’t feel like Italian, fast food or cooking. The rolls are high quality; I never need the soy sauce they offer. I am most definitely a repeat customer. The staff is nice, but I wish they’d repaint the walls and put new carpet in!

If it is not busy when you go don’t worry, the food is very good. One of those hidden family run Japanese/Chinese/Thai restaurants. Sometimes hard to understand the waitress so just order by the number from their expansive menu. Then sit back and enjoy. Prices are very reasonable and you will not be disappointed.

Finally, a good asian food/sushi place in the area. Some of the best japanese fried rice I’ve ever had. I haven’t sampled the entire menu, but I’m willing to give it a shot. Everything I’ve had from them so far has been absolutely wonderful, especially the sushi. I live in Whiting, and there is nowhere within a 20+ minute drive to get sushi, until I discovered this hidden gem. I’d recommend it to anyone who appreciates good japanese food.

So I’m assuming this place has changed hands since the last reviews so I wanted to leave a positive one. A co-worker told me about Tokyo knowing my love for Japanese food. Not only have I been spoiled by traditional family recipes passed down though my fiancee’s family, but we just got back from a trip to Japan where our biggest splurges were on food. I’ve had good Japanese food and bad. Toyko falls into the the really good category. Not only is their food delicious, but their prices are fair enough that every time we order, we try something new without too much concern that we’re spending a ton of money on something we may not like. We’ve now ordered from there a handful of times, and we continue to be impressed. We also love that they have delivery for nights when we don’t feel like going out. The delivery has always been timely, and the food is still hot upon delivery. So far, they have never forgotten anything. I’ve been recommending them to all my friends. I hope they continue to do well… so we can continue eating from them lol.

The last 2 time I ordered have not been that great. Recently I got the Duck in mango sauce and there wasn’t much duck in there. It was 5% duck and 95% vegetables. And the previous time i ordered food- the chicken satay, the chicken was super dry and barely hot. They had a good going a few years ago. Not sure what happened….

Found a wad of hair in my food for the second time tonight. Then was told the driver couldn’t come back to refund my money because “it’s raining” and suggested I come pick it up. While I normally love this place, I think I’m pretty much done with them. Hair in my food for the third time is not something I have a desire for.

Wiped our table with a rag that smelled like sweat, then took 15 minutes to seat us. In addition, sat us next to a drunk old couple that was rude and took an hour to get our sushi to us. By far would rather get sushi from a gas station. My time in the bathroom would be shorter than waiting there for service. Do not recommend to anyone.
