Full disclosure: I was on my way to In-N-Out.
I’ve driven past Tokyo Joe’s at least 100 times, always curious, always defaulting to a protein-style Double-Double. This time I rolled the dice and wandered in. Glad I did.
Built my own bowl with grilled shrimp and took the cashier’s advice on sauces (peanut + curry). Excellent call. Deep, balanced flavor, a little heat from jalapeños, pineapple adding just enough sweet contrast, and veggies that were genuinely fresh and crisp. Protein portion felt fair, not skimpy.
Is it cheaper than In-N-Out? No.
Is it worth the extra few bucks when you want something lighter, cleaner, and still satisfying? Yep.
The interior is modern and fun, but the patio is the move. Sitting outside on a crisp 65° January afternoon felt like peak Arizona. Only minor quirk: the patio backs up to a Starbucks drive-through, so your zen bowl may come with the faint hum of caffeine-fueled ambition.
Not life-changing food, but thoughtfully executed and absolutely respectable. I’ll be back… even if I still love In-N-Out.

If I can give 100 stars to the staffs for excellent service, I would. We were waiting outside for them to open when their chef was kind enough to let us know they were. The staffs were the friendliest and kindest people I have ever dealt with in the food industry. They even remember their regulars and they warmly greeted everyone. They also regularly checked if we needed anything and asked how our food was. Our food was good. I wish they had some ramen (soup) options and not just bowls. They have a lot of healthy options to choose from. The place was clean and organized. The decors looked cool. Will definitely come back.

Anna made my first time a fun. I was waiting for a friend and she caught me trying to figure the menu out by the registers from acrossthe roo.. She offered to bring me a menu and then let me ask her all about it. She helped me pick between the salmon and the BBQ bowls and I have to say the BBQ bowl was delicious. Reasonable prices for a decent amount of food. They brought our food to us and even checked on us once. Really great service. Good job Tokyo Joe’s!

I had a ubereats order and they took it and probably ate it cause I never got it. But they were so nice here compt the meal that was stolen and gave me a free drink when I came to pick it up. This is our 2nd time here and we love their food and all.

This place is great! I’ve been going there 2-3 times a week for the past year & a half and l ain’t dead yet! The food is great and the staff is great. The staff gets along really well with each other and that creates a really good atmosphere. The prices seem to be compatible and if you’re looking for a healthy meal, this is the place. Perfectly wedged between other favorites, I decided to try something new! Finding healthy places like this makes me feel better about when I have to eat on the road. Their ambiance and atmosphere is modern and appropriate for the cuisine. The kids meals are a perfect portion for me, as I don’t want too much, just a nice bowl amount. I got the chicken teriyaki kids bowl. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean and also modern.

not sure why this is called a “teriyaki chicken bowl” when they give u only 9 PIECES of tiny cut up chicken. This is literally laughable because no way i got served this along with the cashier being unfriendly and doesn’t know how to respond to the words “hello” it’s been a few years since i came and maybe the terrible service along with laughable small portions was why.

I don’t usually leave food reviews. But I feel like this place really deserves it. I’ve been going to this location for quite some time and I know they have the same staff working there. The food is so consistently good and fresh. I don’t feel like I’m just going to a place to pay for packaged food that they’re reheating. I can actually see them cooking the food and the staff in the kitchen look like chefs. I wasn’t expecting that from this place. I really like how healthy and clean the food is. The restaurant itself is really peaceful and clean as well!

We are regular customer for years and we love everything so far. I tried the new General Joe’s Soup Bowl. It was good but they served black salt a little heavy making the dish saltier than I wanted. It was busy night but they served our food fast. Sign up for email and they send bogo meal every now and then.

Sauces are always missing. My order is the same every time: two peanut sauces for spring rolls and one teriyaki sauce for my teriyaki chicken bowl, which it should already come with it. Either I get 2 peanut sauces and no teriyaki sauce or I get one of each when 2 peanut sauces are ordered. It’s like someone is picking and choosing instead of putting the right amount that’s ordered in the bag. I’ve ordered online so that I can pick up and sauces are always missing there as well. This has happened a few times when I’m there in person so I have to ask for the right amount I ordered. I distinctly remember only one time I actually drove away and I had to drive back for the sauces. It’s really my fault for not looking in the bag before I left the establishment. It’s incredibly bothersome when I’m about to eat my food after work (either pickup or delivery) and it never fails that something is always missing.
