Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Smyrna, TN is the VERY BEST Hibachi in all of Tennessee!!!! The food is absolutely delicious, mouth watering, flavorful and your taste buds will thank you. Whether dinning-in, or taking out, the food portions are generous, it’s definitely worth the price. Hibachi includes a salad (recommend trying the ginger dressing), miso soup, vegetables, two shrimp and protein of your choice. The Yum Yum sauce is fire (good). This is my go-to spot for date nights, Birthdays, special occasions, family outings and everything in between. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Hopefully it will become your go-to spot as well!

We were there for my son’s birthday, and had a considerable wait for Hibachi on a Thursday, who knew it was going up at Tokyo in Smyrna! Our chef and server were kind, but the meal seemed a bit off. Our shrimp appetizer came well after soup and salad, plus by the time our steak/chicken was plated, we were almost done with the veggies and rice that had been served earlier.

Fantastic hibachi-style steakhouse. Wide variety on menu, including sushi and other Japanese dishes in addition to the Hibachi grill. The cooks do not put on as much of a show as they do at other similar restaurants, but their focus on getting the food to diners as quickly and efficiently as possible pays dividends. Prices more than reasonable for the amount of food that comes included with each meal. Definitely recommend and will go back the next time I am in town.

This place never disappoints. The drinks and food are amazing! You will need to get there early for dinner if you don’t won’t to wait a while for the hibachi but you get plenty of food for your money’s worth.

Our family had the best hibachi experience for my brothers 35th birthday. Chef Randy was the best! He had us laughing and food was so delicious. Everyone waited on us hand and foot. Before we could ask for anything! You just don’t get that anymore. Friendly staff, food was just amazing. This will be a family new favorite place. Been to many hibachi restaurants in TN and this was our #1.

My girlfriend had never been to a Japanese hibachi grill before, and I loved this place when I used to live in TN. So glad to see they were still open! The hostess was really nice and quickly seated us. Our chef was funny and put on a good show for us. He also made sure we got the correct orders and asked how we wanted certain things cooked. The appetizer we ordered (shu mai) as well as our hibachi dinners (salmon & scallops for her and steak & shrimp for me) were all delicious.

Our “go to” favorite sushi and hibachi restaurant and hands down the best in Middle Tennessee. They know us by name and it’s such a great friendly atmosphere to walk in to and be greeted/treated like family. Iwren is the best hibachi chef. Request him! You won’t be disappointed!! 🙂

I’ve never tried Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Smyrna until today and I was impressed. My to go order was the vegetable hibachi lunch and steamed seafood dumplings. They also included a generous salad with the best ginger dressing. They also included at no extra charge miso soup and a large container of perfectly steamed brown rice. The food portions were so generous, it’s enough to eat for days. One more note worthy bonus was they were extra generous with the Yum Yum sauce. You don’t even have to ask, it’s just included. Hopefully I’ll get the pleasure of dining there sometime in the future.
