I ordered vegetable chow mein and spring rolls. It was a total of 19 bucks. Pretty pricey in my opinion. When I open my order I notice my dish was half noodle half fried rice. Flavors were okay wish my noodle dish actually had noodles and not half rice. Along with more vegetables.

I paid $80 for 4 entrees when it was only supposed to be 3 entrees so I was charged for an extra thing of rice and beef. I asked for mushrooms and they didn’t put it on any of the entrees. You’re suppose to get a salad with each meal and she gave us only 1 small side salad. The noodles where bland and cold, the rice was hard and tasteless. They say 20 minutes and you give them 35 and it’s STILL NOT READY. Won’t be back.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and the faculty as well as “Ma” have always been good to me and my family. The meats have good quality such as the steak and filet mignon. Dinners come with salad & soup. I cannot speak for any of the seafood. If you ask about dessert, they have had orange sherbet available before. I haven’t felt concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen or the sanitary habits of the chef. You can watch him while he cooks if you want to. The kitchen is visible to the dining area. There is a private room that can be reserved for groups and gatherings. Tokyo joined with Doordash if you are needing an option for delivery.

Was here for a work event. I’m not from the area, so this was a new place for me. I would not return. It’s just not for me.
The bad, first: several people said parts of their entrees were cold; the carrots looked and tasted like huge steamed chunks of plain carrot and were not appetizing to me; the soup tasted like really hot dirty water and smelled like old boiled shrimp water so I could not tolerate it; the chairs are tables were heavily worn and/or broken and the carpet was terribly filthy (really needs updated to tile or some other cleanable surface); the rice did not appear to be fried rice and definitely didn’t taste like fried rice (just seemed like white steamed rice with a hint of brown color to it). The crab rangoons looked like they were from a freezer box at sam’s club (did not look homemade if that’s what you’re seeking) but I did not eat them, only reviewing what it looked like.
The good: the waitress managed our large group well, and the food came out quite quickly with not a huge amount of staggered time for us all to receive it.
The food I had wasn’t horrible, it was just simply okay/mostly edible. Most people in my party seemed to like the food, but this is not on par with what I’m used to at other Japenese restaurants, especially at this price point, so I would not be eager to come back here.

Knowing that we used to enjoy this place, the whole experience has been less than okay. Food was inedible. Unchanging and such for carryout. The wait on an order placed before you arrive an hour later, still not ready. Could use a little TLC for the upkeep. Treat staff awful in front of customers. Not acceptable. Not the first time. However, the last visiting for us.

Okay normally I’m not one to complain about restaurant cause I get it, it can be stressful and a lot at times but this is the third time in a row they’ve messed up my order. The first two times was over the phone so I thought okay I’ll go in tonight make sure its correct, the young man the took my order was super sweet so thank you for that but I told him my order keeps getting messed up he said “it happens a lot” so we laughed it off he took my order repeated it to me to make sure, (sesame chicken w/ broccoli side of carrots) simple enough right well we get to the car realize there’s no carrots I had already put my toddler in his seat so called asking if they could fix it (it was wrote on the top of the box and everything) he said sure well the young man brought me a side of carrots said “mama says it’ll be 7.45” said oh 745 like you want me to pay again he dropped his head said yes sorry I didn’t have 7 more on me so I set then down said thank you have a good night . Staff is always sweet but the owner is terrible I’ve had many friends work there as well and all complained and quit so this is normal behavior smh

I believe everyone in Lebanon, VA goes there for the yum yum sauce…15% automatic gratuity, not sure if it can be removed. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive

Ordered takeout was advised by local that the place was great. Ordered the emperor’s $29.00 2 tiny pieces of chicken, 1 shrimp and absolutely zero stake. Absolutely unimpressed. I won’t be eating here again. Hopefully it was just my meal because I honestly feel ripped off.

I rally hate to do this to such a previous amazing restaurant. With that said. I work 7to5 and like to think of Tokyo as a treat to a long hard day at work. We all like to spoil ourselves in our own ways. And food is mine. So after a day of pleasuring others, I thought today would be the day I please myself and order Japanese. I called and a man picked up to take my order. I said I wanted an emperor to be ready at 5:10pm. Enough time for me to drive from work to their restaurant. He then said one emperor and 5 chickens? I said no one emperor. He then said okay. Again not trying to sound ugly I get the language barrier even though I think in rural America good English people should be taking call ins to get order accuracy. Well after I clocked out after pleasing others then myself I drove to pick up dinner. Walked in and said I’m here for the emperor. He tied the the bag and walked to the cash register and said 31$ something. I was completely astounded. But I let it go and went with it. The bag looked right. Got home and weed eated my own yard after a hard day at work. Only to open the tray to a completely different order than what the menu clearly points out. It charges an up charge for any different things requested. Sweet carrots is the go to on the menu. I cannot eat eat zucchini at all. But this 31$ dollar meal had it and onions and no signs of humble carrots. So either the menu has changed or either they do what they want with you 31$ safe to say I’ll be taking my hard earned dollar somewhere else

The man who I presume to be the owner, Ping was extremely kind and explained the menu to us prior to ordering. He constantly had a smile on his face. I applaud his customer service. 5/5 stars on service. I gave the food three stars because it was pretty high price for the quality. It was good but not so much that you were like wow! The portion is very nice though. Lastly I give the atmosphere 4 stars because though it was outdated I can say it felt comfortable and peaceful.
