Got the Pacific Roll To-Go. Fresh Hamachi & Scallops with house Unagi Sauce. An unexpected ingredient, macadamia nuts didn’t quite compliment the sweet creamy flavors of the seafood. If I were allergic, it would be more of a concern. They gave good quality chop sticks, though!
*I went back and checked the description of the roll on the menu and the nuts weren’t mentioned *
Real good quality sushi roll, though! It looks like their ramen is a specialty, the way they advertise it inside the restaurant. Can’t wait to come back!
Update 3/15/25:
Tonkatsu ramen was excellent. I drank all the soup till the last drop. Chef Jason told me that they made their broth from 8 hour slow cooked chicken and pork ribs. No wonder is was tasty but not salty. Highly recommend it! Especially a cold rainy day. The soft boil egg was also very tender.

New owner Calvin and Katie were friendly and happy to create more items on the menu. Chicken Kara-age was one of the most authentic ones I’ve tasted in the Bay Area. Juicy and tender inside and crispy outside lightly breaded. Reminded me of izakaya in Tokyo. Chef Jason did it again with incredible sashimi plating fresh walu butter fish, white tuna, salmon, hamachi etc.
After several months, my family and i decided to go out and eat and wanted to try the new katana-ya. But surprise surprise.. gone.. oh well. Try Tokyo feng. We came in an hour before close so it wasn’t busy at all. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered the black garlic ramen with egg, Tonkatsu ramen, beef curry, spicy tuna roll, and sushi dinner set c. Both ramen and sushis came out promptly after maybe 10-15 minutes. The curry came out maybe closer to 10 minutes later. They must have had to cook it fresh or something.
The tonkatsu ramen soup was savory and creamy with a good amount of noodles and ingredients/toppings.
The black garlic ramen was equally delicious but with a more earthy garlic taste. The char-siu roasted pork was in the thin side and a bit dry but was still good. There was a good amount of whole fried garlic in the soup, which was nice.
The sushi set C dinner had large portions of sashimi and 6 pieces of California roll. The roll was good and fresh. Typical California roll fake crab and mayonnaise combo. It also came with salad and miso soup. The salad and Miso soup were just ok.
The beef curry was really fresh and delicious with tender slices of beef with a bit of fat attached. The curry was a light reddish color, almost like tomato based but with curry seadoning added. There were large chunks of veggies in it too. The curry came with a small bowl of rice to go along with it.
The spicy tuna roll was fresh and delicious. It wasn’t spicy at all for me but I can take a lot of heat. Sushi rice was fresh but needed a bit more vinegar seasoning.
Overall, it was a good first impression. The food was delicious, staff friendly, and attentive. Would come again.
