Need Half-Star Option. Ordered Teriyaki Chicken and received something far from edible with two containers of French Dressing. Went back to inform manager and none present and no one was concerned. Would have helped if it came with vegetables.

This place is not Japanese, chicken was cooked in a fryer like Chinese food, and some nasty sauce poured over it… nothing like Hibachi WHATSOEVER. Placed smelled like Fabulouso, floors were sticky, and it was hot as hell inside. I’ll be shocked if I don’t blow a gas station toilet up before I make it home.

The food was incredible — a perfectly cooked fried rice with a generous portion of vegetables. My compliments to the chefs; the meal had an amazing flavor and the service was outstanding. I also took a seafood fried rice dish for my husband. Congratulations, 10/10!

I called in an order, and when I asked for the seafood roll, the employee had no idea what I was asking for. He proceeded to read me the whole sushi menu very quickly. I could barely understand him because he was speaking so fast. Towards the end, he said seafood roll.. yes, that’s what I asked for. Ok no biggie, I finished my order and was told 25 min it would be ready. I go in about 30 min later and still had to wait another 10 min. There were no other customers there. Got the food, the guy was nice and even showed me the seafood roll, admitting he had never seen it made before. I hadn’t eaten all day, so I didn’t wait til I got home to try it. It was yummy yay! I also ordered pork egg rolls (received 1, menu says it comes with 2 and I was charged for 2), the Natalie roll (ok, not great), and the scallop bowl. The scallop bowl is truly why the review is so low. It was inedible. I tried one in the car after the seafood roll and nearly puked. It was chewy, tough, bitter and greasy. When I got home, I decided to give it another chance. Nope, nasty. And it had such a bad aftertaste too. Like bitter and tingly on my tongue. Gross. I took them out of the bowl extremely disappointed and tried to eat the rest of the bowl, fried rice and broccoli. Unfortunately, I could taste the scallops in the rice. Not only was I left still hungry, but it was fairly pricey.

Guy at the counter barely spoke English, didn’t know the menu items at all and had to be pointed out to him.
Not only this I was disappointed when the food came out because the fish in my Philly roll was clearly not fresh. It was grey! I was afraid to eat it.

Honestly not impressed!!! Rice was crunchy, and my shrimp were well overcooked, and looks to be salad shrimp,tasteless, and honestly the worse hibachi I’ve eaten, Wow!! Folks spend your money elsewhere, a Lil pricey!!

This is the worst “sushi” I’ve ever had – it was HOT. Dry, dull. Lifeless. The chicken and stake was also bland, dry, and tasteless. We couldn’t eat more then a little bite before tossing the whole thing. They had little kids cleaning the tables and the service was non existant. Perhaps they should have a health inspector check them out as well. This place is not Tokyo its not good, its the worst thing of all time ever and I’ll never ever order from them again. They suck!!!!!!!! (and not in a good way)

Ok .. here on vacation and everyone in my group was hungry so they chose this place . I was skeptical because of the name, Tokyo express… So I’m thinking this is just a takeout place… But if they had seating, we were gonna stay there and eat… So stepping foot into this restaurant.. The place is hot. There’s no AC working , to me that’s a big red flag!!!! I really didn’t wanna order anything from there, but the women in my group were hungry and cranky so it was a do or die decision. Of course I said no way we’re eating in this place with the heat so we ended up ordering to go.. Service was pretty quick brought it back to the hotel. We all ate really no complaints on the taste… … Reason I’m giving a three stars is I don’t know if I’m gonna be sick this evening or tomorrow morning so I’m on the fence on this one… But for a restaurant to operate, they need to have an HVAC system that works to avoid Bacteria growth, etc….. The management owner end up reading this review. You need to get that AC Because you’re taking a risk that could come back and bite you!

I got chicken bowl and Hibachi chicken for my husband. Both of our dishes were bland, and the chicken tasted warmed over. It did not taste like freshly cooked. Had never been before and will not be back.
