Upon entering tables were dirty, there was only one other table seated, waitress, took a while to approach, and then gave us only one set of silverware, and one napkin we asked for another set and the second napkin she refused, saying that “there are napkins on the table”. We frequent this place, but we won’t be doing it anymore Very disappointing waitress was very rude. I won’t be going back. This is the second time leaving due to this new server- on the prior visit the same waitress completely ignored us and ran to assist another table that she sat after us. Good luck staying open.

Tokyo Bowl is honestly super good. The food is always super good and tastes fresh every time, and the portions are filling. The place is clean, the vibe is nice, and the workers are friendly and helpful. I never leave disappointed — easily a five-star spot.

I want to address Lani or Lonnie your “manager” she is extremely rude. Called in a order for take out and had a question about the masago on one of the rolls because I couldn’t remember the name at the time she accosted me and said that if I didn’t know what it was I shouldn’t be calling in an order because she wasn’t going to explain it to me. So I said fine I’ll just take the rest and didn’t even order the third item I wanted. When I accidentally asked for tempura calamari she rudely responded we don’t have that we have tempura shrimp I apologized and said I mean the tempura shrimp her response was remember that for next time. When arriving to pick up my order she continued being rude when I asked for spicy mayo because none was put in my bag she told me I would have to pay. I told her I got sushi and there’s none in the bag and she said ugh fine. I asked for her name and she said “Lani” rudely and said I know your going to complain well yes Lani I am going to complain because as a supervisor of an establishment shame on you for treating paying customers that way. You should be fired.

I’m sorry but you guys need to teach the cook how to make fried rice. The most important rule is use cold rice and not warm or fresh rice. What they gave me was rice mush with flavorless beef and chicken. The only good thing about it was the 1 piece of shrimp tempura they put on top, it was fire but there was only 1. Smh worst thing is it was 15$ omg I couldn’t believe it and I left a tip, with tax came out to 17$ in a half tray not a full plate tray. Couldn’t even finish it dang. Something to work on.

This food is really gross. My sushi came out warm? The yakisoba noodles looks like I tried to make it at home I paid over $50 for crap food. It’s really gross please believe all the reviews online.

Tokyo Bowl is Japanese fast food and is located near Marshall’s in Porterville. The fried rice here is scrumptious and can be made with meat or without. We had chicken fried rice and loved every bite. The tempura rolls however, were too sweet. They tasted more like dessert because of the added sugar and they weren’t what we’re accustomed to. There is a large menu to choose from.

I’ve been coming here for years, but after my last experience I won’t be returning anytime soon. I called to place a takeout order and didn’t quite hear the server say “please hold.” When I asked to order, I was rudely yelled at multiple times: “Can you hold please, HOLD PLEASE!” Totally unnecessary and unprofessional. There is one girl who has always been pleasant, but unfortunately the rest of the staff are consistently rude. Disappointing after being a longtime customer.

I’ve only ever tried the sukiyaki chicken breast and the teriyaki bowls, but it’s pretty good. On the other hand, service is awful. The girls are not great at communicating with customers. The customer service etiquette is lacking. They tend to be rude and seem irritated to serve you.

Never disappointed when I leave here! Sukiyaki chicken half noodles half rice! My go to order! Gyozas are great as well, chicken bowl is tasty. Always fresh, just enough sauce. Best think is serving size! They are generous for sure!

Always a pleasure dining in or ordering for take out here. One of our favorite local restaurants. We enjoy having the shrimp or chicken teriyaki bowls, sukiyaki chicken breast/chicken plate, combination meals or the create-a-combo meals and sushi. So many delightful choices to choose from…don’t forget the appetizers! They are delicious too!☺️
