The best tasting thai food i have had in a long time. It is a little gem I will be returning to again. I had the shumai and they were light and delicate, the pad thai was well balanced with the sweet and sour notes from the tamarind even with it being ordered extra spicy, the heat was there but tge flavor of the dish still shined through.

Don’t judge the exterior and vibe of this place because they look rather unappealing. The food is excellent!! Everything we ordered performed well! Judging by the amount of shrimp in the curry dish, this place might seem on the more expensive side but not gonna complain. The food is delicious. We ordered drunken noodles combination, shrimp pineapple curry, basil fried rice and mango sticky rice to finish our memorable meal. This place was so good that it is something we’ll recommend to anyone going in this area for an Asian/Thai meal (we were just visiting).

So, I stopped here after my post-op visit and ordered crab rangoon & orange chicken.
The crab rangoon is what I ate first, and as someone who has visited over three dozen american-chinese food selling restaurants in the Chicagoland area it is the best I have ever eaten. Really really spectacular. Incredibly tasty, strong flavors in both the filling & the sauce. Perfect amount of wrapping to filling. Will be coming here again when I’m in the area, just so I can get another set of them. I genuinely considered going back in and ordering another set when I finished the first but I had my orange chicken to eat so I sadly decided against it.
The orange chicken was next, and it was okay. I did enjoy it, but it came with onions (which I love) and bell peppers (which I hate) so I would’ve asked for it without the bell peppers if I’d known. Also the flavor wasn’t as strong as I like, I prefer a strong orange flavor and a lot of sauce. This didn’t have that, but it was the crispiest chicken I’ve ever had with orange chicken so that was definitely a bonus.
All in all, I’ll definitely come back the next time I have an appointment here, mostly to get crab rangoon but I’ll definitely be trying other things as well!

The taste of the orange chicken was very like nothing. It was orange but it was nasty as hell. With slices of oranges on the crap. The fish cakes were super small and tasted like rubber. Then i had a large house rice Special as you can never go wrong with it. So I thought. It was so small oh my God what I thought was a large was not even enough for my 4 yr old. And the Type of pie, a salad picture on the web is false advertisement for the size that they give. Excuse the after people picked over the food pictures but those are the bushes that’s what it looks like this is horrible for $45 I would not recommend going to this place if you want to get the most for your money that is not this place you might as well go home and cook

Nice place to enjoy Thai and Japanese cuisine. My husband wanted curry fried rice and this was the only closest place that was open on Sunday. The lady at the restaurant was very helpful and accommodated our vegetarian requests. Food tasted great and spice level was just right. The portion size was enough for two meals. My only concern was the Pad Thai, it didn’t have any Tofu (which I was expecting). Overall great experience. Thank you.

I called in an order and went to pick it up. The person that answered the phone was very nice and even more friendly in person The food was ready to go when I got there about the time they said it would be. The prawn rolls were not quite what I hoped for. The drunken noodle combo was fantastic! I’m going to have a hard time trying something different after having that. This looks like a little tucked away place BUT the flavors are huge. Be sure to stop in!

Well I finally found up in the North Lake county area an underrated Thai Japanese restaurant in Waukegan. I have to say wow because I came from another Thai restaurant experience in Gurnee Illinois called Royal Thai and it’s ironic that that restaurant look more formal outside by the strip mall in this place is right next to the naval exchange in the ambience outside doesn’t look like it’s fancy but yet the food and the interior is unsuspectedly great and authentic. Originally I was supposed to come here with a friend but she had gotten sick with the common cold so I ended up making this a bucket list for myself to try it for dinner instead of a lunch. Started with the Thai iced tea and it was tastefully delicious and sweet just like how they do it in authenticity. When I went to Royal Thai resturant in Gurnee it did not even taste right when they made Thai iced tea last year. I was amazed also at the owner who has great personality and service as she was accommodating next to how fast they delivered the fish cakes that I ordered as an appetizer with the cucumber salad and that tasted authentically great. The server and owner also delivered at the same time the Green curry and chicken and it tasted very authentic as compared to Royal Thai. Next to the right amount of Thai Jasmine steam rice that was cooked just right. Not too dry in rice cooker which means it also could be old white rice but it was NOT. All in all I was impressed from this diamond hidden in shady neighborhood in Waukegan/ North Chicago area. Do come here during dinner as well as for lunch but I heard it gets busy because of the US Navy and US Marine base over here as the customers are coming here.

This little place is so good! My husband and I stopped in after visiting the hospital cuz we were starving and this place did NOT disappoint! It’s hard finding a good curry and there’s was so flavorful. Can’t wait to come back to try some more. They do shut down for a late lunch for themselves so be mindful when you are hungry.

Great place! I enjoyed the cashew chicken. The rice is super fluffy. I loved it! Pretty good crab ragoons too. And pretty good portions size over all. A little pricey though.
