Wasnt sure why the review was so low so Im writing to hopefully change this to at least a 4.0 lol. Because we all had a good experience here. I went there for the first time recommended by a friend. Parking was bad around this building but you can park right across the street where theres a ton of free parking so no issues there. The restaurant was full even on late Sunday lunch, the food was great, katsu not too oily but still very crunchy and tasted good. We all got different dishes and everyone enjoyed theirs. Personally I liked the regular tonkotsu sauce on the table better than the nagoya miso sauce, I ate it with radish that came with my friend’s katsu and that was good. I drove an hour from the south and Idk how prices are up here but compared to south it was quite pricey (for ex. tiny bowl of mozarella cheese on the side was 5 bucks….). On average it ended up around 25 bucks per person, more for some. But the servers were attentive and we had a friend that just ran 10 miles just before coming here and she drank a lot of water and they made sure to keep coming by to refill. Because the food was good, lady that answered my phone call was friendly, and servers were friendly and attentive, we had a good time so 5 stars for me.

Parking can be a bit limited, so expect to circle around during busy hours.
When we arrived right at opening, the restaurant filled up immediately.
Even though we were among the first customers, our food still took about 30 minutes to arrive.
Rosu pork cutlet: flavor was decent, but the coating separated from the meat quite a bit, which affected the texture.
Katsu Toji (pork cutlet with egg): this dish was much better—authentic seasoning and the egg was cooked perfectly.
The pork quality overall was average.
Portion size was on the smaller side, about 20% less than what Kobuta offers.
The miso soup tasted mainly of bonito powder and MSG, which could be improved.
Overall, it was fine for a new restaurant that’s still finding its rhythm.
There are some small issues, but that’s understandable for a soft opening.
We’ll likely come back again to see how things improve.

This is a really cool restaurant. Katsu was very well done and not oily. Great variety of food as well — curry udon was just as good. We live quite far away. Yes, it does take some time to have the food ready, but it’s worth the wait. They don’t have bento option on the weekend though.

Came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered hire katsu curry and it was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not very greasy Portions were great too.
My server was very friendly and kept checking on us to make sure everything is good. Definitely a solid spot if you’re craving katsu — I’ll be coming back to try more dishes next time.

Decor is great, we previously tried to go during soft opening and it was too popular. Now that it has thinned out, we got seated quickly for a Friday night.
We ordered the nabe rosu as well as the chicken rice bowl. If you have been to ookami and kobuta in redmond or Seattle, you’ll find the menu to be similar! However, the pricing here is competitive, as the dishes come with the egg as well, which I really like.
The food tasted good, slightly on the sweet side. The meat was tender and flavorful as well as juicy. I was satisfied but I think it was likely high sodium and the sweetness cut it out because both of us that went were thirsty shortly after, signalling it’s high sodium.
Price came out to 42 before tax for the two rice bowls below! Good portions. I would stop by again to try their curries, but be ready to drink a lot of water after your meal. Staff and service was good and efficient (don’t expect a lot of banter).

Nice place! We ordered six different dishes, and they all came out looking great and tasted delicious. I parked across the street in a commercial area with plenty of parking. We were very satisfied with all the food we ordered and will definitely be coming back.
I read another review mentioning that the food takes a while to come out, so I was prepared. It took about 20–30 minutes, which was fine. We came for lunch, the place was busy but not too crowded, just right.

The food wasn’t bad at all! I went in with pretty low expectations because of the rating, but everything we tried was decent and solid. Not mind-blowing or especially memorable, but still enjoyable. We went during lunch and there was no wait, and the food came out quickly. A lot of reviews mention long wait times, so maybe that’s improved over time. The waitress was very attentive — maybe a little too attentive (she offered to refill my water every time I took a sip ), but I still appreciated the care. My friends and I enjoyed both the food and the experience, and bonus points for being right next door to a boba spot.

This newly opened katsu spot is currently in its soft opening phase until October, so the menu was simple. They didn’t have cheese katsu on the menu, but kindly made it upon request. The interior was modern and pretty, though parking can be a bit tricky since it’s located under an apartment building.
The katsu itself was fairly tender and not bad, but the chicken karaage was so terrible that it completely ruined my appetite.
We always order chicken karaage and agedashi tofu whenever we visit a Japanese restaurant, and this was hands down the worst karaage we’ve ever had. The batter was just wrong, like they didn’t understand what karaage is supposed to be. On top of that, it was outrageously expensive, which made it even more disappointing.
That said, the service was great. Since it’s still their soft opening, I’ll come back in a month and update my review.

Tried this place with my husband tonight and it was AMAZING. Best katsu I’ve personally had. The pork sando was moist and so tender and was amazing paired with the miso soup.
I got the Toji menchi Katsu and don’t know if I can even try anything else on the menu this was so good I’m gonna want it every time!
My husband got the Nabe menchi katsu and it was great, but he liked mine significantly more.
Being 6 months pregnant I can definitely tell you this is going to end up as one of my cravings and we will be back!

Finally a great katsu place up north! We came on a weeknight and had no wait for a table, and didn’t have to wait long to get our food. We ordered the gyoza, and several types of katsu including the tofu, pork loin, and chicken curry. Everything was freshly made, and the panko breading was perfectly crispy, and delicious. We also ordered dessert and my only suggestion would be to toast/warm up the croissant that’s served with the matcha ice cream (the ice cream was so good). Overall, love the interior, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!
