Service was excellent, food was good and the prices were very reasonable. The view of the lake while eating was a wonderful plus.

Very reasonable prices and flavorful food. Along with a beautiful view and scenic drive. I was surprised to find such reasonable prices in a vacation and retirement community, but here it is. If you can afford Mexican food in town, you can definitely afford it here. I truly believe that you will agree with me that the food here is better and worth the trip.

My wife and I drove over to check the foliage colors around Ft Gibson Lake and Sequoyah State Park, and also to try JC’s (Jauan’s) at their new location. According to the waitress the restaurant retained the same staff along with the menu. We tried the Burrito Monterey. A flour tortilla filled with well-seasoned ground beef, topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and queso. The lettuce and tomato made the burrito taste much fresher than just a burrito with sauce. Packed with ground beef, filling and delicious. The refried beans were smooth creamy and not bland. Very good salsas and the chips came to the table fresh crispy and warm. The restaurant is a repurposed diner, clean, lots of room and there are big windows that allow for scenic views of the lake. I like it! It was a pleasant experience.

If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection “Jalapeno Highway” on Yelp. I’ve probably been there.

This is old Juan’s that operated on the east side of Hwy 69 just north of the intersection of highway 51 in Wagoner. The menu is the same, even the telephone number is the same. The restaurant has changed its name and now operating under the alias of JC’s. The restaurant is now located on the south side Hwy 51 just before you cross Ft Gibson Lake going east to Tahlequah. Easy to get to and ample parking. See the Spike S. review for Juan’s in Wagoner. I was not too impressed with the restaurant when it operated in Wagner, however it seems to be well loved by the locals. Since I’m frequently in the area I will give it another try.

The carne asada (pictured) was delicious, their salsa was wonderful, and my boyfriend really enjoyed his enchiladas. Prices were affordable and the service was excellent; would recommend and we will be back.

I want to leave a review, even though I have not been there yet, but I looked at the breakfast menu and was so let down, I was hoping to see Mexican style breakfasts, not the same thing everyone else serves.

So suggestions:
Burritos (traditional and wet)
Quesadillas
Street tacos
Beans

If I get a response that says these items can be made, I’ll come visit

Juan is a great guy! Very service oriented plus great food! Plus you get a lake view and reasonable prices with generous servings. We eat there usually at least twice a week.

I stopped by for lunch as I was picking up tamales for Christmas Eve and had a combination plate consisting of2 cheese enchiladas, taco and rice. It was good but I believe they over charged me.

Very friendly, service with a smile. Homemade chips and salsa were made with just the right amount of spice. Fajita Nachos Supremo were sizzling hot. Great view of Lake Fort Gibson. Would recommend and will be back.
