Tokai sushi is pretty good! We got the Jear roll which was their special and it was 10/10. We also got the sizzling albacore and the flavors were amazing. i’d recommend this place if you’re interest in trying something new.

Work close by and come here for lunch regularly. Food is amazing! From the bento box to rolls it hit on all cylinders. (The Philly II roll is by far my favorite.) Staff is always top notch and happy to see you, especially the sushi chefs. The decor modern but has that traditional feel and the figures on the sushi bar really tie the room together. 5 stars definitely recommend. Don’t miss.

I had a fantastic experience at this ramen and sushi spot! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome. The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, and the sushi was good. My partner loved the bento box with the Teriyaki Salmon and Beef. I also loved the variety on the menu—there’s something for everyone. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

This is our favorite go to for Japanese food. Always delicious, great sushi and ramen. Close to the theater makes it great for date night. Delicious mochi ice cream!!!

I’m surprised this place is rated so highly. I could name at least 5 sushi places within a 5 mile drive that are better. Caterpillar roll had something crunchy in it that really messed with that roll. There’s an over reliance of cucumber in their rolls and the fish quality didn’t seem that high. The best thing was probably the baked scallop roll. The miso soup was excellent, but the sushi rolls were average to below average.

1. Baked scallop 7/10
2. Caterpillar 5/10
3. Honey salmon 5/10
4. Spicy Tuna 5/10
Maybe this restaurant offers better options than their sushi, but if you want sushi, I’d suggest others in the area. Arigato sushi, chop fuku, itto, sukiya, and even simply sushi are better. The best sushi in all of salt lake though is Takashi, that place is on another level.
Also note: Service was EXCELLENT. These servers are very attentive and will make sure to get you everything you need. I wish all restaurants had servers this good.

This place is amazing! I tried 3 rolls here, the Double Spice, the Kamikaze, and the Rich and Rich, all of them were so good I had a hard time deciding which I liked most because each had a unique flavor profile. The atmosphere is super cute and cozy with soft lighting and soft music. Also the bathrooms were also cery clean with lotion also provided which was a nice touch. Also the staff is very quick with service and courteous
