Stopped by Toi on Sunset for a quick bite before catching a comedy show nearby, and it was a great choice. The food was really good, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I absolutely loved the interiors—stylish and cozy at the same time.

Perfect spot for a casual meal, especially if you’re in the area before a show.

Giving 2 stars because I had a nice experience when I visited in person and the food tasted standard, but as much as food costs these days I feel there’s no excuse for what I just ordered to my home… more dressing than cucumbers in my cucumber salad… it looks ridiculous. And then my $20 curry didn’t come with rice, so that was incredibly dissatisfying to receive. I also asked to add pumpkin to my meatless vegetable curry and they added $4 without confirming that was was ok (wasn’t) to my order. Not to worry too much since I got a refund through uber eats… but I won’t eat here again considering how many Thai places there are in this city. $35 total for a little bit of vegetables and curry lol. I also started reading other reviews about finding foreign objects in food. So why charge so much for such low quality?

Awesome food. The slum wine is the best but didn’t have enough saki blend tonight. Saki + plum wine mix. Awesome.

Loved Toi I can’t wait to come back. Incredible pad Thai and red curry. Also got two great Thai iced tea/coffees (try with coconut milk). Kind and helpful service and really fun vibe. Parking was readily available on a Saturday afternoon. Can’t wait to try more of the menu!

Been going there since 2002. The white rice noodle plate with a large peanut sauce is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve ordered the same thing for years it’s slightly more expensive then before. But totally worth it probably one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles.

Let me begin with praise, because balance matters. The vegetables are fresh. Shockingly fresh. Unfortunately, they are also undercooked, as if someone whispered “fire” near them and called it a day. The meat, on the other hand, is cooked like it personally offended the chef. The rice arrives overcooked and emotionally exhausted. The curry is so thin it feels more like a warm idea of curry than an actual dish.

Then there’s the tom kha soup. I enjoy galangal. I respect galangal. But this had so much galangal in it that I briefly wondered if I was chewing landscaping. I didn’t order soup so much as a small herbal forestry experience.

The place currently has an “A” rating, which feels optimistic. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s business, but someone should gently pull them aside and say: the food needs help. Sure, plenty of people like it. Plenty of people also think ketchup is spicy. This is not refined Thai cooking. It’s enthusiastic, but confused.

Important PSA: despite thoughtfully listing baked tofu, there is only one fryer. One. So the fried tofu is swimming with everything else. If you care about dietary separation or clean flavor, this is not your moment.

Now, credit where it’s due. The space is great. Very cool to walk into. The staff is genuinely lovely. I can absolutely see how this place crushes delivery orders. But dining in is where illusions go to die, and unfortunately the food just doesn’t hold up.

Great vibe. Nice people. A beautiful room. Vegetables doing their best. But the cooking needs a serious intervention.

Delicious Thai food with great service in a rock-and-roll-themed restaurant on Sunset Blvd. The theme was phenomenal—I never thought rock and roll and Thai cuisine would go together, but it made for a unique and fun experience. We were warmly greeted and had our order taken quickly. We went with the pad Thai with chicken, vegetable curry, and fried rice. The portions were very generous and perfect for sharing. The pad Thai was delicious, but the curry was my personal favorite. The fried rice was also really tasty. Our server was amazing—attentive and friendly throughout, making our time at Toi on Sunset even more enjoyable.

thought the food was going to be amazing and it was just alright. the chicken pad thai’s noodles were like rubber, and i love pad thai so that one was a bummer. the toi pasta on the other hand was pretty good, just wish both had more flavor. but i loved the atmosphere it was cool & server was attentive & nice.
