When you go out of your way to create the world’s tastiest sandwiches, people tend to go out of their way to get their hands on them. And it’s been like this since we opened the doors of the first TOGO’S in San Jose, California back in 1971. We made the meatiest, most delectable sandwiches around. And people formed lines out the door, anxiously awaiting their turn for taste bud nirvana. Today, people still go above and beyond to get our sandwiches. Because for many, you can never go too far for a TOGO.

Ok, I’m all about being fair and I wanted to give this shop a chance but, after today, never again. I went in at a little after 1pm, waited in line for about 20mins. Longer than expected but, already invested this amount of time, I’m in. The irate part of the waiting, there were two people working behind the counter, for whatever reason, second employee decided now was the time to refill some bins and not assist at the counter. That was frustrating and I might be irrational but, good customer service keeps customers coming back, right? He did say, “sorry for the wait” and kept wandering around behind the counter instead of assisting. My turn comes up, I order a roast beef and swiss cheese sandwich on white bread, nothing fancy, no veggies, just mayo. Simple. Takes lady about 3 mins from start to finish, cool! I go to pay, mind you, this is a regular sized 6″ sandwich. I was charged for a large. Noticed it while walking out but, I just want to leave, ridiculous but whatever. I get back to work, open up the sandwich, now, I know we are in a bit of a difficult time in this economy but, First, this sandwich is about 3″ in diameter and supposed to be 6″ long. It wasn’t even a full 6″ long, it’s a baby sandwich, I swear, appetizers are bigger than this. The free bread at Texas Roadhouse is more filling than this. I even tipped the lady. I paid $18.28 for a $10.50 sandwich and it feels like it probably cost about $2 to make. I will never go to this Togos ever again, let alone any others. Save your money, go down the road a few miles in San Leandro to Bara’s Deli or go to Castro Valley and go to Lucca’s Deli, way more food, fresh, family ran businesses, and your dollar goes a lot further than this ridiculousness!

The service was fine the atmosphere too, but the sandwich taste terrible because just hot the meat but the bread is cold and dry for me the sandwich is not good for the price and taste I never come back again.

Another solid location for this company. Quality control for this brand is 11/10. Friendly service, app with loyalty points, huge portions at reasonable prices. Cheers and will be back next time I’m flying out of Hayward

Ohhhh no what happen TOGO ill Try a diffent location but sadly this one gave me NO CHEESE on my sandwhich i was charged 18.00$ for a sandwhich with only a tiny cup of meat never again i will make my own sandwiches at home this was pretty polite and nice but the inside of the building was very dirty tables were not clean dishes and other rappers on the floor employees were very nice but the food was not good and it’s cleansing this was not good

The women working this morning were awesome! I am so bad at names, but I believe it was Chantel & Sophie? There was a power outage this morning so everything went down and they had a ton of orders. They still were in great spirit and so welcoming. We ordered online but I had to show my order so they could make it. It was quick despite all they had to do. I appreciate the awesome customer service!! Best I’ve experienced at this location. (It was bad in the past)

Stopped by for lunch on a work trip. Never heard of this chain before (I’m an east coast guy) but really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Parmesan bread reminded me that I didn’t have to go to Subway to enjoy interesting bread options on my sandwich. Would definitely go back!
