“GOOD LORD!”
The flavor was delicious. I would drive 2 hours for them again the drive was worth it.

Food here is definitely Mexican authentic and absolutely delicious! Micheladas were on point! On this day we had pozole (which came with a chicken rolled taquito on the side), green salsa chilaquiles, chorizo and papa taco, rolled tacos en consume, and michelada.

Real Mexican food in a very Mexican neighborhood of San Diego, albeit a bit gentrified since a decade ago. Art and decor are fun and casual, service is friendly, even to a Chino Gordo Anejo hombre like myself . Lots of tempting dishes to choose from, but tacos are a great way to get variety!
$7 Camaron Enchilado Taco…freshly grilled succulent shrimp, with light spicy crema, tomatoes, cabbage, avocado, wrapped in beautiful blue tortilla.
$6 Chorizo Con Papa Taco…Classic chorizo sausage bits mixed with fried potatoes, cilantro, onions…tasty!

Excellent food, presentation and people. You can’t go wrong with any of their dishes.
Wife and I had the white and green pozole with all the garnishes that included a roll taco,tostada shell,chicharron, radishes,onions and cabbage For each of us.
Fir dessert 3 leches cake with churros with ice cream.
Anyways pick anything on the menu and you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing burritos! Only beef is that it is pricey ($13 for most burritos). For two burritos, platinos (an appetizer), one soft drink, tax, and a basic tip; you’re looking at $45. They did offer free chips and salsa too. Nice salsas.

And this is the only place I have found hands down with good birria and consome not covered with fat! And salt!!! It was delicious!!
* The asada tacos were very good and chicken mole
*The pozole was delicious
*The mole rojo chicken was very good!!
If you go don’t go super hungry or you might get crabby lol
** remember good food takes time you are not at a taco shop or jack in the box you will wait a little bit, not too crazy but just heads up!!

Get the mole roja! The chicken is cooked to perfection and the spices are complex and delicious. It’s heaven.
