Great place to stop for a hearty meal on the way up north or on the way back to the Cities. Very traditional American food – comfort food all of the way. I made it a tradition for years to stop and get a box of cinnamon and caramel rolls (to die for!!). The restaurant food is satisfactory and filling. Tons of tables and parking. Prices are high, comparable to the big city. Service was fast and friendly. Cheese curds are more breading than cheese, don’t recommend for the price or taste.

Got a few caramel rolls (there is no line! It’s all go when you want. They need some stantions or something!). Bathrooms are clean! I also got banana bread and really want to try the cardamom bread next time! Enjoy the pics!

A legend on I35. A tradition, every time you pass by. Not only for the quality of the products, the incomparable Cardamom Bread, unique and delicious both east and west of the Mississippi. Not to mention the rest of the bakery’s delicious products. The restaurants are very hospitable, both Toby’s and the Tavern. The service is very professional, and you feel welcome. Until next time.

Amazing variety and prices here. Store was busy when we visited but the service is fast paced. There are also bakery items in the gas station shop. Restrooms were clean and the gift area was nice to take things home.

Visited on 7.3.2025.. The food and portion size were Great, and this is a very cozy place. Unfortunately, I felt like it is review the menu, order, eat and leave. Maybe it was the amount of people traveling along Interstate 35 on the day before a three-day weekend because the place was busy or perhaps I had a server that wasn’t fully engaged with her assigned tables. Since the Bacon Omelet and Fresh Baked Toast were amazing, I’ll give this place another try and update my review accordingly.

Love their Carmel & cinnamon rolls. The staff were very friendly. This convenience store is ALWAYS super busy, but usually has the items that the bakery side has sold out of.

Stopped by while on the way to Minneapolis as I heard some good things from friends and family. I arrived on a Saturday so parking lot was packed and just at on of people browsing and buying treats. I knew there was a dessert and merch section but didn’t know they also had a restaurant and tavern to the right.
In the main store to the right is a little bakery with loaves of bread, small treats, pies, cook books, beverages, cupcakes and more. In the middle is the main with cinnamon rolls, cookies, donuts, and to the right is the merch/souvenir shop with hats, a lot of clothing, hats, jewelry, and more.
I got a cinnamon roll and a roll covered with frosting and both were super good and still very warm. I was in and out quickly as there was a lot of people which was great. Overall, a recommended place when passing Hinckley.

Came back and had sweet rolls for breakfast stop—cinnamon and carmel pecan. Delicious. Short wait. Staff was dressed in their favorite Minnesota Vikings apparel which was great. Nice. Friendly. A little busy but not too bad.

Lola was fantastic! She was around just enough, not too much or too little. Food was good, dill cheese curds were very good very fresh. Like that there was a vegan (black bean burger) option on the menu.
