Side note that the dumplings are great too.
Fast, friendly service and enjoyed the many Demon Slayer figures at the back of the restaurant. Will be back!
We ordered fried seaweed rolls, nigiri combo, fried rice, and ramen.
Every dish was below average. The ramen and nigiri were especially sub par. I don’t think we finished any of our dishes.
It was really cute inside and we were excited to have a Japanese place open downtown, but this just ain’t it.

The sushi burritos are awesome, but just a bit too much fish in one bite for me to finish the whole thing. The sushi burrito with the cooked beef is amazing for someone like me. Gyoza was good when I got it too.
Rolls are also on point; not overfilled with rice (thank goodness). Takoyaki was also on point! but also, GET THEIR FRIED RICE (any of them – we did kimchi fried rice & bulgogi fried rice, two different times) and OMFG THE FRIED RICE IS ALSO ON POINT! none of that, overly oiled and oxidized flavor!
Agedashi tofu could be a bit different; tastes more like Hayako tofu (without the full flavor) so kinda meh~
They don’t do chili oil or chili sauce (except sriracha) b/c, as server shared, owner doesn’t want it to be traditional-like.
