We just moved to the area and are stoked to have found an amazing pizza place! Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted warmly by the woman behind the counter and every single customer in there was kind and willing to chat as well! The food was fresh tasting, the pizza was delicious, and HOT! The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely become regulars at this place for sure!

We love having this hidden gem in the neighborhood! Family Pizza has saved us many nights when we didn’t have anything ready for dinner, and almost never disappoints. Is this a 5 star, Michelin rated restaurant, no – Is this a great place for a good meal? Yes.
I took a chance and ordered the bacon cheeseburger pizza, and it hit the spot! Literally tasted like, well, its name.
Over the years we have tried many items from the menu, and all have been solid. Salads are always fresh, vegetables have a great crunch, and great variety (especially the ‘side’ salads.) Pizza toppings are NEVER sparse! (Unlike so many other pizza places in town….)
For the die-hard, New Haven style pizza lovers, this is not New Haven style. Don’t compare it. It is a unique, not completely Greek, but not thick crust either. It’s just a good pizza – sauce, cheese and golden crust.

Food is just OK. Even though some of the ingredients are relatively high quality, they’re sabotaged by things like bland sauce and cheap, tasteless, stale-seeming rolls. My grinder was big but expensive and didn’t taste like much even with good meatballs and generous peppers. My wife and kid shared a 4 cheese pizza which looked great in the box but they said it was oily and meh.
The place is not too small but still very cramped. There was a TV showing sports above the pick up counter at like, forehead height. I felt like I had to crouch down so I wouldn’t hit my head while interacting with the hostess.
Tried this place because my parents went here 20 years ago and I see it all the time on my way to Nico’s.
My advice, go to Nico’s instead. Lower prices, tastier food, and an overall friendlier vibe.

We were in the area visiting my wife’s family and we got a pizza from here to go. We got 2 pizzas actually, a large and a small. Both were fantastic!
Then a couple of days later we ordered grinders and once again- absolutely fantastic!

This place went down hill after the owner died. I ordered a meatball grinder today. Hardly any meat, the same with the cheese. The grinder roll wasn’t even toasted. So sad. In my opinion, Family pizza was the best place to buy a pizza or grinder. Not anymore.
