Today was a rough day at Toasty’s. We arrived about 5pm excited to try one of the best burgers in KY! Toasty’s was slammed. We sat on the outdoor area in a tent. We ordered the dill pickle dip, a double toasty burger, fried chicken sandwich and fries. Our appetizer came quick but the rest of our food took nearly 30 mins. Several tables around us who got there later than we did got their food before us. When our food arrived, the burger was very good but the chicken was torched. Check the pics. We asked for it to be remade and the 2nd sandwich was worse than first. We ate the burger fried which were very good. Disappointed that the experience didn’t live up to the hype we have seen online. The manager did give us a gift certificate to come back. We will give them another shot maybe when it’s not so chaotic

Friendly servers bt extremely busy on the weekends. I brought my dog with me after his bath to eat lunch here since I heard that they were dog friendly bt they did not have any tables for us so I placed an order for carry out instead. I got their vegan smash burger and a basket of fries. The vegan smash burger was smaller than I expected and there was barely anything on it except for cheese, pickles, and their signature “Big Mac” imitation sauce. For $12 it was a little high for what I got because it could’ve definitely used a little more lettuce, onions and tomatoes (even though the menu doesn’t include that on there). The basket of fries on the other hand was fantastic though! I’ve never had seasoning like that on fries before so it was definitely something unique. If anything I’ll probably won’t come back for the burgers but I’ll definitely come back for the fries and if I’m lucky might be able to have lunch here with my dog.

Delicious smash burger & fries. I prefer a thinner patty, like the smash burgers at Toastys, so it’s a 10/10 from me. Easily the best burger in Lou in my opinion.
Small space, more bar height seating than standard table seating but they turn the tables fairly quickly so the wait isn’t too bad. They also had an outdoor picnic table area where they were seating people as well. Nice staff & a ton of Toasty merch if you’re interested

One of the best smash burgers in the world. Great season fries that come with it. You can’t visit Louisville or even live here and not have one. Very friendly staff and the place of itself is out of this world. It became my favourite smash burger in the US, the picture doesn’t give it justice but trust me, try it and be the judge of it yourself.

Great food. The Burgers are awesome. The fries are crispy and flavorful. The Margaritas were spot on. Saw a review on this one of a kind restaurants in Louisville. They rated their burgers 9.5 out of 10. The only negative is there isn’t much parking but it’s worth the effort to get in.

The food was absolutely AMAZING. 10/10. If you like pickles the pickle dip was Grade A top notch. The burger is a “smash” style burger with great flavor…If you like a thicker burger, I recommend the double for sure. The coating on the fries is AMAZING. I’d for sure buy it by the case. The service was, unfortunately, awful….We never got a refill on any of our drinks and we asked for boxes for our leftovers and our waitress just ghosted and never came back..After waiting 10 minutes we had to just leave our food because we had somewhere we needed to be. I don’t know if there were some other circumstances that caused her inattentiveness but I’ve worked in a restaurant and I would have never allowed my table to sit that long without any interaction. I would definitely go back and get my food to go. It’s a little pricey. For a family of 4, no alcohol and an undeserved 18% tip, we spent a little over $100.

They offer indoor and outdoor seating however the only outdoor seating is picnic tables. I really do not prefer fries being sold separately from burgers but that’s how it is here. The sauce wasn’t great and I’m glad I asked for it on the side. However the smash burger was out of this world!!! Service was great. Street parking.

This is a bar with a small number of tabletops for dining. Reputed to have one of the best cheeseburgers in town, it’s located in a gentrifying neighborhood in an easy-to-overlook storefront. We arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday and were able to find a table right away. The menu features pub food with some interesting variations. Like mushroom planks made from thick slices of portobello mushroom, breaded lightly and deep fried. Delicious! The main attraction is a smash burger, dressed with briny pickles and coleslaw. I’m delighted to report the burger lives up to the hype. A large, thin patty, crispy around the edges in best smashed tradition, generously dressed. I got a single, but a double is an option. It’s a generous meal on its own, rounded out with the planks and a basket of fries sprinkled with the proprietary seasoning Magic Dust, it was too much for two. Leftovers were gladly taken, destined for the air fryer as a hearty snack later on.

This smash burger is best described as a large White Castle burger. Except for added flare the bun was served soggy and not toasty as the name of the restaurant would imply.
This is by far the best burger in Louisville – that is if you can only compare it to Wendy’s and DizzyWhizz.
Maybe the drinks are good, but when you have a small menu you should ensure that the food quality is top notch. Unfortunately this burger just hit below the belt and left me disappointed.

After raving reviews we decided to try it out. I cannot eat red meat, so I ordered a fried chicken sandwich. I know it’s known for their hotdogs and smash burgers, but I thought surely the chicken sandwich would be a close competitor. Wrong. Overcooked, burnt and bland. They brought me a second one after I sent the first one back and it was the same thing. Oil looks very old, chicken was grey. Our waitress was apologetic. She was great and took care of us for the inconvenience. I was very disappointed. I wanted to love this and bring out of town visitors to try but we won’t be back.
Additionally, the fries are mid, wedge salad was ok bar drinks are great. If you go on a cold day, and sit by the door be prepared for constant cold air ambushing you as the door is constantly opening and closing. If you’re on the patio in the outdoor tent, they have to bring your food through the restaurant, outside in the cold and to the patio so it may not be hot when you get it.
