We stopped at the Mt. Pleasant location on our way to Sullivan’s Island for a brisk morning walk thinking a hot breakfast was a good idea on a cold morning. We tend to steer clear of chains on vacation, but this is one we don’t have in Texas and, based on reviews, wanted to try. The lattes were yummy. The service was warm and welcoming. Mister loved his corned beef and hash with eggs, but his side of sausage gravy was forgotten. We didn’t fuss.
I got the chicken friend chicken biscuit, which comes with a side of chicken gravy. The gravy was like liquid salt with a touch of chicken flavor. I would suggest getting it with sausage gravy instead. I also got the fresh fruit bowl. The blueberries, strawberries, and honeydew were perfect. The cantaloupe was off, so I didn’t eat it.
Not the best breakfast we had on the trip, but not bad either. Definitely family friendly, on the wallet and in the atmosphere.

I was visiting from out of town for business and found this spot not too far from where I was staying. The Double Smash burger caught my eye looking at the menu online so I decided to give them a try.
I was greeted warmly upon entry and seated immediately. My server, Alicia was equally as warm and friendly and was very attentive and provided exceptional service! The burger was juicy delicious and looked very appetizing. (See Photo) I would definitely dine here again!

Traveling from Maryland, stopped at Mt Pleasant for some brunch. Restaurant would of gotten a 5 star if it wasn’t for the rude server who raised her voice at me and my family assuming we moved a chair to our 2 table hightop table when actually the hostees did after i asked if or was allowed and she came back with a chair. The waitress claimed she is loud like that, but my party wasn’t believing that. We was then moved to a 4 person table & thank God cause our waitress SUMMER was AMAZING. So nice, attentive and friendly. The food & mimosas was amazing. Fried green tomatoes, Shrimp n grits & flounder and Hawaiian mimosas.

Despite coming into the store on a weekday during summer vacation, 10 AM it was a Ghost Town. It was also extremely cold. Of all the tables in the restaurant, I was seated directly facing the kitchen. I was really looking forward to breakfast and while the food was good, my service was slow. Again, I was the only one at the restaurant. I had to make contact at the chef and kept looking around the place to track down my waitress who was sitting two tables behind me on her phone. The chef had to let the waitress know that I needed something. I would not recommend this location especially as a first time visitor of this restaurant and the area.

Okay, when we arrived for brunch, we were told there would be a 20-minute wait. Cool! We were seated sooner but not served until 15 minutes later. Our waitress was nice but not very attentive. We ordered drinks and was ready to order when they came back. We ordered the beignets as w starter and our meals.
I ordered the sweet tea fried chicken with seasonal veg and cheese grits. My spouse ordered stuffed French toast with country ham and home fries. His French toast was burnt, and my chicken was not good. Lol. It didn’t taste good to me. The veggies were not seasoned but could be great with some flavor. I liked them after adding S&P. French toast was sent back and was better the second round but not the best. Another waiter walked over and asked if we were enjoying the food, and we told him we were not. He suggested we try the chicken and waffles instead. We did, and although better than our first meals, still lacked flavor! Lol. He definitely made the experience better because he refilled our drinks and checked on us. Something the waitress forgot to do. Lol. She came back once. Our bill was comp 20% for the mishaps, and the guy apologized. Slender black guy with locs.

Do not be fooled by the good reviews. Awful service, and even worse food.

Table we were sat at was falling apart, food took over 30 minutes to arrive and once it did it was not worth the wait of the money. $21 Shrimp and Grits had 6 small shrimp with no flavor. Honestly felt like most everything was an after thought.

Oh and do some research on the restaurant owner before dining here too. That’s reason enough to look somewhere else

The restaurant was decent and is what you would expect for an eatery of this type. Food was a little bland, and although I understand that may be subjective, everyone at our table was “screaming” for the salt and pepper. However the service was great and the convenience to where we were on the island couldn’t be beat.

The service was great and so was the food. We ordered beignet, egg meeting street (crab cakes benedict on green fried tomatoes), biscuits and gravy, and the coastal surf and turf. Everything was well seasoned, well cooked, and promptly brought to the table.
