I had a breakfast sandwich and it was really tasty, even though some time had passed from picking it up at the restaurant. I also had a few bites of the swedish pancakes (sorry, don’t have a picture) and found them delicious too!
I cannot comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant or the staff service, as I didn’t eat there and didn’t interact directly with the staff.
Would definitely come back if I am in the area

Amazing Valentine’s Day brunch. This is a little gem that is well worth the drive from Fargo. We shared this and it was perfect!

Outstanding food in a cool casual atmosphere! Töast offers a very unique menu of culinary delights on….toast. (This is not your Mama’s PB&J) Our super efficient waitress Amy gave spot-on descriptions and recommendations to help us decide (our first trip there but certainly NOT the last). My mushroom special with an Asian twist was beautiful to behold and a festival of flavor and texture. My wife chose a smoked salmon toast that was fresh and delightful. The noontime rush caused us to wait a while, but the food was definitely worth it. Great coffee, tea, and reasonable prices. We’ll return.

The food was really good. Like, really.
I had a smoked salmon bagel thing and it was so good I’ll be fantasizing about it for the rest of the week … probably will have to take another drive just to eat it again!!
Also, the coffee was great. Service was wonderful. 5 stars!
It’s a little treasure there in Fergus Falls!

I had the mushroom toast. It was very tasty and the presentation was excellent! Prices are not too bad for nowadays either. I would definitely go here again. My only complaint is that the atmosphere and staff feels a little bit awkward. I think once they hit their stride they will really have something beautiful. 4 stars!
Update:
After multiple visits, bumping down to 3 stars overall. The service is consistently slow and atrocious. Long time to have your order taken, wait time to be served, forgotten items, and generally awkward interactions with staff. This could be an amazing restaurant because the food and menu are so strong. Shame.

I had to take one star off because the service was less than impressive, but everything else was great. I had the build-your-own toast with bacon, goat cheese, honey, egg, and orange marmalade: spectacular. It’s such a cute little diner, too. The idea of “Scandinavian fusion” made me laugh, but it totally worked.

Used to be so much better. The portion sizes have gotten crazy small. I leave hungry every time as of the last several visits. The coffee also tastes burnt and bitter now, I think they are exclusively using a very dark roast, which works fine for lattes and the like, but for black coffee and Americanos, it is awful. They used to have the best coffee in town in my opinion. The food is still delicious, just not nearly enough of it. I got this Scrambler to go for $16 and it was about 7 bites of food. I’m still quite hungry and more than a little annoyed at how much I paid for this tiny amount of food. When I picked up the box I thought they had forgotten to put my food in it, it barely weighed anything. Didn’t used to be this way, but as of the last 3-4 visits, this seems to be the new normal.

My new favorite Scandinavian brunch spot! I love their Croque Madame toast. So many flavors. The lattes are always excellent and the atmosphere is very lovely. Töast is exactly what Fergus Falls needed!

Nice local Scandinavian-themed Cafe with toast-centered fare. Great breakfast spot. Contrary to what one would think, there are gluten-free options and the staff was knowledgeable about Celiac cross-contact concerns. I did not react, and had the Smoked Salmon GF Toast.

I’m writing this to explain why I will not be returning to Töast. I previously left a critical review regarding service etiquette; specifically, I noted discomfort with a server leaning over our table and entering both my personal space and my partner’s. That review has since been deleted, as I try to focus on posting positive experiences or only sharing feedback when it feels genuinely necessary. After returning roughly a year later, however, I experienced what felt like retaliatory treatment. We were passed over for seating despite arriving first, our table was not attended to for an extended period, and service was noticeably delayed compared to others.
My reviews are posted under my real name but do not include a photo or personal details. Despite this, a male server approached me privately while my partner was away from the table and stated that a review I had written had affected him personally, adding that he did not have to serve us if he didn’t want to. Confronting a customer directly about feedback and withholding or delaying service is unprofessional and crossed a clear boundary. Because of that experience, I no longer feel comfortable dining here and have chosen to take my business elsewhere.
