Well I’ve been here a total of 3x- I bought the same fish platter, I love fish
The first time was amazing! (Picture to show)
The second time I went back was last Sunday, I also brought my aunt and little cousin from a nearby town and the service wasn’t the same. After spending $30 on food, I was still charged for pickles by the server (the first time they just put pickle on the sides) which I didn’t mind, but it was like 3 pickles in the container.
I came back today 3/29/25 before my work shift called my order in and the fish was dry and it was not even good at all. The dish was smaller than the first. Idk maybe I should try something else, but it’s definitely not consistent service at all.

Best tacos I’ve had from southern Illinois! Even better than some I had in Arizona! The green salsa is fantastic, everything about the carnitas tacos was on point. Will be back FREQUENTLY.

Very delicious homemade ice-cream . So good in fact we went two days in a row to try new flavors. My daughters also really liked the cotton candy. I know it’s cliche, but all the flavors we tried were absolutely perfect. I had the cookie dough and chocolate flavors. My wife had the oreo and coffee. My daughters had the cotton candy ice-cream. We all emphatically enjoyed our sweet treat. Great location with plenty of parking. Love the fact it’s the old DQ location. There is also gaming available which is always a nice touch. Plenty of seating and most importantly the staff was very friendly! The do offer burgers and fries as well. I haven’t tried any yet, but I will have to check it out next visit.

Tonight, got birria tacos (1st pic), steak street tacos (didn’t get a pic), a guava smoothie (2nd pic, already took some sips before snapping the photo oops), and a gansito paleta. I am so glad we finally tried Carmen’s, because everything was perfect. Both tacos were delicious and full of flavor, the gansito paleta was SO GOOD, and the guava smoothie was refreshing. We will definitely be back because this place is AWESOME!

The food was decent but the service was terrible. There were four of us and the last meal came out after the other three were almost finished. One order was a frappe and it came out with the fourth meal. Way too expensive for the quality of service and food.

horrible!!!! food is not good i don’t see the hype not authentic ordered a torta got a steak sub with tomato lettuce onion and a thin layer of mayo elote is so sour the birria is nasty gave this restaurant 2 tries both horrible the food is expensive as well which is mind boggling lower the price for that quality
