I ordered the Mardi gras pasta and was pretty disappointed. It came with 2 thin strips of chicken on it and very little smoked sausage. The chicken was dry with little to no flavor itself. For a $20 meal I feel as tho I did not get my money’s worth. The good comment I can give is that the staff that helped me was very friendly and helpful.

Placed a takeout order wanting to try local eats. We got the Rattlesnake bites, which did taste good, but were very greasy sitting in their paper, making the bacon soggier than expected. Fries also very very greasy. Also doesn’t seem like they were soaked long enough to ever become crispy. Fried foods should be drained before plating whether for there or togo. Got the Hickory burger and the quality of ingredients is good but not seasoned enough if at all and asked for it well done and its slightly above medium rare. Ordered the loaded baked potato with everything on it. Potato and meat quality are good, but the supposedly signature bbq sauce is so overbearingly sweet and has absolutely no depth of flavor. I had to add alot of tobasco to even make it palatable and Im not even a hot sauce user. Overall this place could have some potential but they need to work on their flavors and preparation/plating.

Wow! Wish I would’ve known of this place sooner. When you drive up it may look like it’s just a bar inside. Don’t drive by! Stop in! My 20 year old daughter was afraid we needed IDs to get in, but once we got inside she realized it was a full blown restaurant (that also serves alcohol). My daughter and I ordered the loaded baked potatoes and my son ordered the horseshoe burger! Wow!! Those French fries were so good! The potatoes were really loaded!!! I had a side of broccoli and look at the photos–when it’s bright green you know it’s perfectly cooked! Great food and our waitress Lexi was SO sweet, SO efficient!!!! We will be back when in Hays next time!!! Thanks for a great meal! I’m confused by some of the bad reviews but it appears there are some people trying to tarnish the reputation of this place.

Joke of a BBQ sauce on the mushiest food I’ve ever had for almost 40 dollars. The fries are more canola oil than potato literally dripping down your wrist when you pick them up. The worst of all is that across an appetizer and a meal for the missus there isn’t one grain of salt. The interior was nice and the bartender friendly, but don’t order food from here.

Come and enjoy some BBQ from a guy with years of experience! Had the two meat platter, hot links and brisket with BBQ beans and corn casserole. So good. Ordered the Pterodactyl Wings buffalo style to go and I can’t wait till tonight to try em! The smell is driving me crazy.

Awesome BBQ! I had the manhandled sandwich & it was the bomb! 1/3 rack of ribs and they were delicious. Hand cut fries were outstanding. Topped it off with peach cobbler! Loved the outdoor seating. The service was excellent! I will return.

I don’t know why more people don’t come here. Everything I’ve had is fantastic and it’s a nice local business. McDonald’s is always packed and this place is often empty. It boggles my mind.
