Sweet roadside stand that’s well worth a peaceful 30+ min drive from South Kona. I thought the bread was even better the next day! Nice to have a Venmo option to pay, and I appreciate the trust to choose our own loaves and bananas. Aloha!

I love banana bread so you know it had to be a stop on my vacation. It’s a cute side of the road stand. The banana bread is fantastic, maybe 2 wasn’t enough, lol. Worth the stop especially if you are going to Two Step beach, it’s kind of along the way.

I love self service, I love good prices and I love good banana bread. This is some of the best I’ve had in Hawaii (spent time on Maui and Kauai also). Do yourself a favor and go grab some, now. And if you’re kind, do us all a favor and try not to take 5 breads at a time like I did 🙂

It is by far the best banana bread on the island. We have spent more than six months on the Big Island and tried banana bread in many different places. That one is not only the best but also the cheapest. It has good amount of nuts, its moist and very tasty. It’s worth it just to drive to that spot even if it’s out of your way. This bread deserves your driving.
The painted church road is beautiful and I also recommend visiting the church itself. Captan Cook town, National Park and great snorkeling spot are about 10 minutes from the stand.

Unassuming spot but rated 5 stars for a reason. Banana bread is excellent and so were the avocados also on offer when we stopped by. 2 minutes from the painted church. A fun stop to pick up a delicious snack.

Insanely delicious and fresh banana bread and sprouted coconuts. Got ours over Christmas at 12pm and it wasn’t gone yet 🙂

By far the best banana bread I’ve ever had! $4* a loaf at the time of this post, stellar value and flavor. Perfect texture and the sweet topping is delish! *Edited 1 day later to correct price *

This is absolutely the best banana bread I have ever had. Be sure to get there in the morning because a limited amount of bread is put in the cooler each day. There is also fresh fruit/avocados you can also get while stopping.
It works off the honor system and you can pay via Venmo or leaving money in the cash box.
Highly recommend stopping here!!

I found this on a blog and decided to try it. So glad we did! The banana bread is delicious and definitely worth the stop. You can pay in cash or Venmo. I’m not sure how quickly the bread sells. We were there by 8:30 and thankfully, there were still many loaves left. There is a number to call in case there isn’t any when you arrive. There is room to park in front of the spot.

Yummiest banana bread ever (all agreed) and the macadamia nuts only added to the flavor! Great price, super easy transaction using Venmo, and nice drive south from Kona. We stopped for a few loaves on our way back from the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.
