This has become our go-to spot on our drive back from AZ work trips now. They have great food and the customer service is always friendly. Our kids love when we stop here because they ask us to grab some goodies from their bakery selection. Their favorite is the Oreo brownie.

We have enjoyed the Smash Burgers here.

We made the trip all the way to Indio after hearing incredible things about TBK Bakery and Deli, and it was absolutely worth the 200 mile drive. The place sits in an industrial park, so you do not expect much when you pull in, but it surprises you right away. There is plenty of free parking and they have created gardens, outdoor seating areas, and even a dog park. Bring your dogs and your family because it is kid friendly too, complete with a kids menu.

Everything is made in house. The bread, the ingredients, all of it tastes fresh. I ordered the Mexican meatloaf sandwich and it was excellent. The bread had jalapenos tucked under the cheese and it added just the right amount of heat.

The staff was wonderful. They realized it was our first visit and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. Be sure to ask why it is called TB or TKB when you order because the story is fantastic.

A true hidden gem and a place we will absolutely return to!

The Gobbler: 3.5/5 It was decent. The best Thanksgiving sandwich I ever had? Not really but tasted a lot better than eating week old leftovers. I thought all of the right pieces were there but wanted the ham to be thinner and maybe less present in the sandwich. While it did scratch the itch of having this kind of sandwich, it was just good. I found the bread and the experience itself to be very forgettable.

Cheese Curds: 5/5 These were a sleeper hit. I was really not expecting much at all but they knocked it out of the ballpark with these curds. Salty, chewy, and perfectly crisp. I don’t even care that they felt like something you get from a Sysco stockiest, they were very very good.

Potato Salad: 3.5/5 My two biggest attractions to this side were the cilantro and the absence of celery. I was hoping for something very flavorful but it ended up being a potato salad with some green onions (if you don’t like green onions you might want to avoid because there are some substantial chunks of it in here). No cilantro to be found. The potatoes were well cooked and it didn’t taste bad, but again, I wanted something a little different.

Tiramisu: 1.5/5 Dry, cool whip, meh. I would avoid it next time.

Ambiance: Casual cafeteria vibes. Come with your kid’s soccer team.

Service: I went about an hour before closing. The employees weren’t very attentive or engaging, but food came out fast and hot.

Parking: A big, dedicated parking lot. Easy.

As an East Coast native, I’ll attest:
The Food Is Original

Without droning on and on, if you’re traveling I-10 believe the billboards.

If traveling any other road through CoachellaValley / JoshuaTree, east:west, north:south, paved or otherwise… set your GPS for TKB.

I ordered the “Dirty Riverside” (roast beef on cheese jalapeno focaccia bread) sandwich which was fantastic. It was fresh with plenty of roast beef. I also ordered a slice of chocolate cake which was moist and delicious.

I’ve been coming here for many years now, it’s a must when I’m in town!
The bigger, more spacious location is definitely much nicer inside than the old location. I just miss the comfort and hometown vibe of the old location!
I had the Iron Man for the first time, which was delish!!!! My friend had a smash burger and enjoyed it also.
Service was good, not quite as amazing as I remember. But the cashier was super helpful, and gave us free beverages!
I wish there was an option for half sandwhiches; they are huge! Pasties are good too!

TKB Bakery & Deli lives up to its reputation! The new space is bright, open, and modern with plenty of seating inside and outside, plus the bonus of ample parking — something you really appreciate in Indio.

The menu is packed with creative sandwich options, from hot classics like the Reuben or Mexican Meatloaf to cold favorites like the Turkey Club and Spicy Italian. The sandwiches are huge, loaded with fresh ingredients, and the bread is top notch — you can tell it’s baked right. I also like the wide selection of chips and sides to round out the meal.

Service was fast and friendly even though the place was busy. The atmosphere is casual but well done — high ceilings, clean design, and a welcoming vibe that makes it easy to hang out with friends or grab a quick bite.

Tip: Lines can get long at peak lunch hours, but they move quickly and it’s worth the wait.

If you’re anywhere near the Coachella Valley, this is a must-stop spot for a seriously good deli experience.

Delicious sandwiches! You can also order pastries and cookies here. Gorgeous location! Plenty of parking, awesome bright atmosphere inside. The sandwich combinations are brilliant, and most of them are saucy and juicy. I tried the sexy Italian and pesto chicken sandwich, both were tasty. This is a great place for families or groups, sandwiches can definitely be shared! I wish they sold half sandwiches, I think that would fare better for solo folks with smaller appetites.

My husband and I stayed at an Airbnb in Indio and found this place through a Google search while looking for local spots. The best sandwiches ever! Definitely stop by on their bbq Wednesdays! The brisket grilled cheese was sooo good! We also stopped by their bakery for a couple sweet treats. Unfortunately the birthday cake slice was dry so I didn’t enjoy it much. The Dubai chocolate pastry was amazing though! Highly recommend this place for their sandwiches, atmosphere and great service!
