If you’re in Belleville, NJ, don’t let the small size of Titas Bakery fool you—this place is a hidden gem! I’ve been a loyal customer since I was 11 years old, and now at 33, I love bringing my kids here to experience the same delights I did growing up.
The warmth and friendliness of the staff make every visit special. Their artisanal bread, known as **pan artesanal**, is simply outstanding. Some of my personal favorites include **lenguas**, **champurradas**, **pirujos**, and **quesadillas**—each one is a true taste of home.
What makes Titas truly unique is the variety of food they offer. It’s like dining at Grandma’s, with delicious options such as **Chaomein**, **tortillas de harina**, and a wonderful selection of traditional Guatemalan appetizers. Each dish brings back fond memories and flavors that I cherish.
I can’t recommend Titas Bakery enough! Just a heads-up: if you’re planning to visit on a Saturday, be sure to call ahead. People travel from out of state to indulge in their specialties, so it’s best to plan in advance.

Today I Witnessed the cashier trying to overcharge someone in front of me& when he questioned the 15$ then went back to the register to recalculate,touching the screen with one glove on&one bare hand charged him 5$
then when it was my turn she wasn’t too friendly with me &I asked how much is 1 sweet bread& she asked what did I say&I repeated myself.
I was in shock ! She actually grabbed my bread with the same glove she handled his money with &touched the register screen with &of course me being the nice person i still paid& said something to her about her grabbing money &my bread with that one clear glove .
crazy part is she looked at me like I was crazy after seeing her with my own eyes!she didn’t even offer to exchange it or my money back or even an apology for being unsanitary like that I walked out with the bread &got rid of it .
I literally gave her a 1$just to get treated that way .
I wish I would have taken a picture but I didn’t have my phone on me since I was working but on a quick run.
I’ll go elsewhere &get guatemalan food &be treated better !

This bakery is one of the best places you can ever go to. The workers are very nice and they will attend to u quickly. Their food is banging like bro they won’t screw up your meal is like magnificent . They are very hardworking people and that’s why there the best. The place inside is very nice it’s a Guatemala theme however you can eat your food outside and it’s very nice .

Tita‘s bakery is one of my favorite bakeries and restaurants to go to when you feel like having some good food this is my go to this bakery they have excellent Guatemala food and they had delicious sweets. They’re so good. It’s like as if they have a five star chef making the food. It’s so good. I totally recommend this place for anybody who doesn’t know what to eat.
