Had the steak and lobster. The main courses were cooked perfectly, but some sides lacked flavor while other sides were overly salted. The rice was the underdone.
Everything was very clean. We were the only patrons there on a cold Friday evening in December. We were sat right near the entrance by a large window, no source of heat nearby- it was uncomfortable. The waitress was polite, but not very quick. The atmosphere was ambient and relaxing.
Would I go back? No. Not a terrible place, just not for us.

What an amazing restaurant! We expected to have a nice dinner, but what we had was an exquisite meal. We ordered falafel and salmon. All the ingredients complement each other wonderfully. We visited some other restaurants in Portland but could not stop thinking of that meal we had when we just arrived. We got back there for lunch as well—really enjoyed hummus and a lemon dessert! We noticed the chef signs the menu, he does an amazing job with the food there. Our waiter Max was very friendly and recommended us the best dessert!

We went in weekdays after 2 pm. Though restaurant was pretty empty but it was very clean and beautiful. We ordered sampler and one kabob.
Food was very good and testy.

Understaffed, there was only one person in the kitchen on a Saturday night. Therefore service was slow. The food quality and serving sizes were not worth the price for both entrees and appetizers.

We went for Valentine’s Day as a party of two and unfortunately, it was a negative experience. As soon as we walked in I realized there was no music playing which created a strange atmosphere, especially with the open kitchen being very loud, and because all of the tables were very close together. It was immediately obvious that they were severely understaffed for one of probably the busiest nights of the year and our server had the entire room in which we were sat, which was 11 tables, and she was bussing/seating tables too.
We tried to be understanding of delays because of this – we waited an hour to give our food order. But unfortunately, when we finally received the food, our appetizers came out at the same time as our entrees. My husband’s entree was cold and by this point he was annoyed enough to send it back. We had originally felt bad for the server – we both used to serve tables, so we get it and were prepared to ensure they felt appreciated – but by the end of our meal we felt our server was just rude, no apologies for waits, no thank you/goodbye when she dropped the bill.
To make it worse, Tiqa advertised a set menu for $95 per couple and posted a completely different menu than what was offered – and there was no set pricing. It was clear that other tables were also frustrated by this.

This was our second time dining at TIQA, and it’s become one of our favorite spots when we’re in the area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is delicious, and it feels like a healthier option without sacrificing flavor. The sampler appetizer was especially on point — a great way to try a little bit of everything.

I had one of the most exciting dinners that I’ve had in years. Recommended by friends, as it recently re-opened, I was fascinated with their online menu; and when I got there, had big decisions to make as to what to order. I could have ordered a dozen items on the menu. Our Server made very good recommendations. Every bite we had was filled with flavour. This restaurant describes itself as Mediterranean –while I would describe it as middle-eastern. It offers a concise wine list of well-selected wines. The service is co-ordinated, friendly and polished. I truly look forward to returning the next time I’m in the area.
