Old Goat
First time customers.
Tinsley-Bible was recommended by a fellow camper. We checked it out on Google and even though the menu was a bit limited and it was quite the drive, we decided to give it a try.
Upon arrival the restaurant/store is nostalgic and cute.
After we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. No big deal, we weren’t in a big hurry.
Twenty minutes later, we ask if we could have our drinks and was told, sorry they had forgotten us. There were only four customers, two tables of two, in the restaurant. I asked for sweetener for my tea and received a pretty negative response from the server. Ok, this is not shaping up to be a positive experience.
Finally, our food came out and to be honest, it was pretty underwhelming. I certainly expected better.
Definitely will not be returning now passing on the recommendation.

Great burgers made the old fashioned way. So much better than fast food. Miss Peggy is such a sweetheart and great conversation.

We came to explore Dandridge due to a video we watched on YouTube. We stepped into the Tinsley-Bible Drug Company and our sense of smell was immediately overwhelmed by wonderful food. We decided to have lunch at the Soda Fountain. Words cannot properly describe what happened to our taste buds. Absolutely FANTASTIC!! Our waitress was WONDERFUL with a perfectly timed dry sense of humor. She was second in line to making our visit. The food… good heavens… the FOOD!! YUMMYOLA!!! Hub had a Bible burger and claims it’s the best burger he’s ever had. I had their chicken salad sandwich that was divine! Another in our party had their club and said it was outstanding! Our waitress gave us all samples of their special of the day — chili — and I have to say it’s the best chili I’ve ever had in my 59 years on this planet. We all had a creme soda from the fountain, which was perfection, but hub decided to have a peanut butter milkshake. Ho! was it delicious!! If a milkshake could taste fluffy… this one surely did. A TRUE milkshake! Small bag of chips are included with your meal, there’s no fries to be found, but if you’re smart, you won’t care. One of THE best lunches we’ve EVER had in an atmosphere straight from the 50’s. It was a wonderful, WONDERFUL visit and we’ll absolutely be back!!

From someone that loves history this place was a treat. To start one heck of professionalism the staff had a heart and cares. The food was top notch. I will definitely come back and enjoy the setting. John Ward didn’t say enough about this place.
