At first I didn’t think they served lunch because the interior wall says Peaches and I didn’t smell any type of food… But then saw the chalkboard menu. Ordered white fish, cabbage and fried potatoes. The fish was huge and fried perfectly! Fried potatoes good but not given enough and the cabbage was tender but over seasoned… Service was straight to the point with no smile, but the cook back there was on point because food came right out… My first visit, and you can call in your order or online (I saw that others had done that) Got it to go for $15, not bad deal! Environment was clean, with nice booths to sit in if you want, with aTV. And they must have a hell of exhaust system, because like I mentioned, I never smelled any food. Good place to stop by, 18th & Muhammad… I recommend!

We are in town for the week and committed to supporting Louisville Black Owned Businesses. We lucked up because she shared that this was their third Saturday being open . My grits were creamy and served with some delicious catfish. The peach tea was good, but sweet-sweet. My husband liked his salmon croquettes. We both loved the potatoes. We will definitely be back. While they offer true dine in options, note that everything is served in Styrofoam or plastic containers. The service was very welcoming. We will visit again.

Ordered at let’s say 2:40pm, beautiful Friday and decided to try the Fish Friday deal. Drove 20 minutes, to the freshest plate I have ever had. Sides to the bread and fish were fresh hot and flavorful like no other. The juice, no words just 10/10. Do not hesitate to order and eat this wonderful food.

I went in on Sunday afternoon for lunch for the first time. The minute I walked in the door I felt the atmosphere of home. The customers sitting down were friendly and helpful, the staff were exceptional. The wait was a bit long, but the homemade menu stated that, and, even though the prices LOOKED a little steep, the food was amazing. My friend and I sampled each other’s orders and I can’t wait to come back and try some (all) of the other menu items. Well worth the time. The quality and portions were super. We needed the extra bags to take home what couldn’t be eaten in one sitting. I give it a lot more stars than they provide, in EVERY category.

I work nearby. We are tired of the same thing everyday. It’s all fast food. We found this place on Google. Even though we got it to go it didn’t disappoint. This is some of the best food I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Everything was fresh made to order and still hot when we got it back to work. The quality of the food is unbelievable. I think we have found our new work lunch spot. I highly recommend anyone who is downtown and hungry for great home-cooked like food to stop in.

Delicious chicken and dressing **I do not like thighs and legs but it was delicious & cooked to perfection . Also the greens were seasoned just right. Cornbread muffins were the freshest I’ve eaten in a long time. And to top it off a piece of pineapple upside down cake that was a reminder of my mom. Thank you and may you always succeed in all your endeavors. Sweet Peaches & Family
