One of the best food experiences I have had in a while. A traditional British pub environment. You did not even feel like you are in downtown Boise. The Warm Brussels Caesar is literally the most amazing salad I have ever tried. So delicious and creamy. I had the Bangers and Mash. The mustard sauce with it was to die for. When you don’t drink, sometimes the mocktail options are just okay. Not here. I had a grapefruit julep. Wow! So good. Desserts also did not disappoint. I could not have enjoyed a meal more.

Atmosphere very cool hidden gem. Service great.
Burger by a Michelin star chef outstanding.
Went to happy hour early….ordered about 45 minutes later. But the $5 beers past the time well. A $10 burger and fries says it all. The burger was perfect the beef was tasty and complimented by the onion and cheese. A seriously beef front burger. Outstanding a must try.

We visited on a Saturday night for some light appetizers and drinks. The service was exceptional with very polite and helpful staff. The Tiner Potato Chips were so good! The charcuterie plate was very tasty as well. I really enjoyed the atmosphere with the English pub vibes. We will definitely be back soon to have a beer with some friends.

Incredible disappointing. I drove 50 miles for the Scotch eggs but they didn’t plan ahead and make enough for a 4pm seating. We tried to order several other starter items and they were out as well. My wife ended up ordering the Fondue burger and we shared. The fondue cheese was cold and tasteless. My daughter orders the Mac and cheese and it was lukewarm at best and it was also tasteless. We had a party of 6 and everyone ordered drinks, the cocktails were weak and overpriced. The fries were at least decent.

I don’t like to give negative reviews without giving the establishment feedback first. I reached out to the email provided on the Avery website a week ago about my experience and received no response. First visit to Tiners Alley on a busy Friday evening. We wanted to sit at the bar, but it was full. We were greeted warmly by the bartender who invited us to sit at any table without a “reserved” sign. We found a table without a reserved sign, it had not yet been cleared off. We asked another employee if it was OK to sit there, he said yes. As we started to sit, a server came over and stopped us, said we could not sit until the table was cleared, and that this table was probably reserved. We stood for a bit and she came back and confirmed that the table was reserved. I asked if there was a place we could sit, and she pointed to another table. It had not been cleared and she told us where we could stand (awkwardly) until it was cleared. At this point, I wish we had left, as our our first interactions with our server were not positive or even remotely friendly.
She gave us a cocktail and food menu, and upon our request, and wine list. We ordered drinks and apps. Our food and drinks came. We never were checked on again to see if we wanted another drink and we eventually had to flag her down for the check.
I could see that our server was hardworking and clearly very busy. I can presume the staff was shorthanded. If she had said something to that effect, “thank you for your patience, we are bit short staffed tonight”, in addition to being more friendly and welcoming, we would have had a more positive experience and would feel more inclined to return. Instead, I felt like we were a huge inconvenience to our server. Understandably, everyone can have a bad or off night; I am hoping that this was the case. With so many other options available, I am unlikely to return to find out.

The atmosphere at this bar is engaging, making it a great spot for drinks. Whether it’s a weeknight or the weekend, it consistently buzzes with lively energy. Plenty of great wine options. Highly recommend staying upstairs at The Avery- order a bottle of wine and enjoy in the room.

Great atmosphere, not so great food 🙁 it has so much potential to be delish but everything we ordered was lacking. It all felt undersalted, oversweetened, and poorly cooked. The brats looked boiled and lacked browning, and the sticky toffee pudding was dry. The fondue burger was reminiscent of in-n-out with a thicker patty but not well seasoned. Even putting some pickles on it would have helped cut the sweetness. Cucumber Jolie mocktail I ordered was just horrible. Tasted only muddled cucumber and simple syrup. Service was great and the attendants were attentive but just A lot of style over substance here, unfortunately. Would not recommend.

Brilliant bar, quite distinct from other venues in the area. The food is thoughtful and exceptional. Mixology from the staff is continuous. Many local craft spirits.

We had such a great experience. Our server, Elyssa, was amazing and so was the food and drinks! We will be back for sure. Id also love to see a few more vegetarian options – hint hint to the Chef.
