Reviews
Food was excellent. Service was acceptable, I did have to request part of my order 2 separate times.
Tables and floors were dirty.
Loaded Fries: very substantial dish with a explosion of flavors, generous portion of fries and pork. Very satisfying meal
Loaded Potato: instead of 1 large potato it was 2 smaller potatoes together. perfect potato with a fluffy, creamy interior. Large portion of pork. All filling were on the side so I could prep it to my desire.
Banana Pudding: we did not finish the banana pudding, it did not taste fresh and like plastic.
Peanut Butter Pie: creamy and very sweet with a hint of peanut butter flavor.
I had the brisket wrap which I found to be tasty for a wrap. It gave me a light option while having that bbq flavor. I also tried the fried pickles which were excellent. Be warned though the appetizer portions seem to be for multiple people.
The atmosphere and establishment was mostly fine, the bathrooms were pretty dirty though.
Overall I recommend, it’s a nice place for bbq.
My ladies and I shared a HALF ORDER OF THE BBQ chicken nachos… mmmmmhhhmmmm… get those first before you order food! There’s your warning!
The okra was perfect, you can taste the okra and the batter stick to it!
The onion rings were super crispy and light.
Catfish was fresh, crispy, flaky and full of flavor.
Green beans were the country style French but the way they prepared them gave them a little umph !!
My friends got a bbq sandwich and they cooked the fries just enough to make them the perfect kinda crispy. Chopped steak, Potato salad, and coconut pie on the other… very much an upgrade on the classics!
A fantastic bbq experience and that’s coming from a Texas girl who doesn’t eat at bbq places very often. This one… I’ll be returning.
Oh yeah, you know I gotta plug it for the staff… friendly and pretty too!
We were visiting from out of town and decided to try Tin Top BBQ—and we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and great flavor. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere had that authentic small-town charm that makes you feel right at home.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, we highly recommend stopping by Tin Top BBQ. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in the area!
The prices are reasonable, the portions are large, and they have a variety of seating locations. So hope they open a restaurant further south, ie near Montgomery in the future because we’ve eaten all the BBQ in our area and none even come close to comparison.
