I recently stopped by Tin Drum Asian Kitchen and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly.

The pot stickers were a perfect start—crispy on the outside with a really tasty filling and a great dipping sauce. I also tried the Singapore noodles, which were packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The Tao chicken was another standout—crispy, savory, and perfectly balanced with the sauce.

Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and the overall atmosphere made it an easy place to enjoy a casual meal. If you’re in the Kennesaw area and looking for solid Asian-inspired dishes, Tin Drum is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend the pot stickers, Singapore noodles, and Tao chicken!

I haven’t had the opportunity to visit a Tin Drum in many years. I was able to stop in at the Kennesaw location and WOW! I had a few of my kids with me, the youngest one is 6, and the patience shown to him as he sorted through all the options on his RAMEN was amazing. The place was clean (bathrooms too) and the service was great. Our order came out quickly and correct, just like we ordered. We ate and had a great time. While we were there, we were checked on to make sure everything was to our liking and to see if we needed any refills. When it was time to go I spoke with the person who rang us up and it turned out to be the owner! Will 100% be back the next time I am in town, now all I can do is be sad that I live so far away from this exceptional restaurant.

Mixed feelings here. I’d probably rate it at 3.5 overall.
Pros: large menu, fresh ingredients, descent customer service, descent prices, and food was hot when it arrived.
Cons: seating area is small and close, sauces were kinda sweet, the brocoli was left out of my order so it was kind of plain.
If I were in a hurry and looking for quick asian food, I might come here, otherwise I’d probably look elsewhere.

I honestly think this restaurant filters or buries bad reviews because my experience doesn’t line up with all the glowing ones.

I first tried Tindrum during their soft opening through UberEats. Ordered wings, fried rice, and stir fry chicken, everything ended up in the trash. The wings were extremely salty, the rice and chicken were swimming in grease, and the sesame oil was so overpowering it ruined the flavor. I decided not to post a review back then since they had just opened and maybe needed time to adjust.

Fast forward a few months, I gave them another chance since they seemed busy and well-rated. I ordered a cup of miso soup, coconut soup, beef bulgogi bento, tofu Penang curry, potstickers, and fried rice. Sadly, it was another disappointment.

The “miso” soup was spicy (why?) and didn’t taste like miso at all. Coconut soup was just okay. Fried rice still drenched in sesame oil. The Penang curry was oddly sweet, not the rich, balanced flavor it should be. Potstickers tasted like something straight out of a freezer bag.

The bulgogi bento was probably the worst part, I picked brown rice and Asian slaw for my sides, but it was basically just onions and scallions everywhere. I got maybe 7 small strips of beef, and the rest was green onions, regular onions, and a few sad carrot shreds. The “Asian slaw” was literally another pile of scallions.

I really wanted to like this place, but nothing about the food stands out except how overly greasy and unbalanced everything is. I just don’t get the hype, maybe people like the variety, but honestly, none of it hits the mark for quality or flavor.

Sorry, this is the only photo I’ve got, but honestly, it pretty much sums up the experience.

We ordered food and drinks from this location. The food was ok. We ordered the sesame chicken rice bowl and pho. The sesame chicken was pretty good but the meat didn’t taste fresh, more like store bought frozen meat and reheated. Sauce was good however and it was a good amount of meat to rice to veg ratio. The pho lacked flavor and the meat was flavorless, nothing fresh. The real reason for this review is the boba “tea”. The blueberry matcha is very good, but the brown sugar milk is literally that milk with brown sugar and boba. Who wants that? We assumed that it was milk tea but sure enough it’s just milk. Complete disappointment and it feels like false advertising as they have a non-tea section.

If I could give negative stars, I would! I went into the restaurant on 2-23-26 around 12:30 pm. There was one customer ahead of me and after she finished ordering, she and the worker kept on having a conversation. I thought for sure, that I would be acknowledged soon, but their conversation wore on for another 2-3 minutes. It began to feel very uncomfortable for me as I made eye contact with the worker and she kept on conversing. This was my first time ever entering the establishment and I could not believe or even understand why I was being ignored. After another few minutes (!), I turned around and left without a word. I have no idea what the food is like, but the service was the worst that I have ever had before in this area. I don’t think it is a good look when a restaurant is in business to make money, and not treat all customers who are spending their time and hard earned money to patronize their business; with respect and fairness. It is my hope that someone in management will speak to her and address this terrible behaviour towards a paying customer.

Great food, great friendly service, great portions. I usually go to the Perimeter location and sometimes the Georgia Tech locations , which are both very good. This location is better and deserves its rating. The Akers Mill location gives much smaller portions and staff there seemed not to care.

Wow, I am blown away! I have been living here in Kennesaw for 8 months and I have wasted so much money on terrible food around here. So, I’ve just been cooking my own food or hitting up Whole Foods. I can’t believe this place was right in front of my apartment and I just kept driving past it! So far I’ve tried their refreshers, chicken lo mien, singapore chow mien with pork belly, and vegetable spring rolls. Well, let me tell you if you love noodles like I do this is the SPOT!!!

Oh, and the SERVICE is Exceptional! They are so welcoming, friendly, and professional. I almost wanted to give them a hug. That’s exactly how it should be. Unfortunately, a lot of places around here have some very unhappy, disrespectful young servers. But not this place! The service alone is a reason to come back!

Wonderful dining experience with a wide range of hot and flavorful food for six people. We came in for lunch and ordered many different plates to share between us and everyone absolutely loved what came out. We can recommend the Bangkok sweet chili curry with pork belly, ginger stir fry, Japanese bourbon chicken, panang curry with chicken, coconut soup, chicken lettuce wraps, and firecracker cauliflower. There is so much more in their menu that we’re excited to try. On top of the atmosphere and incredible food, the hospitality and service were also excellent. The owner is very friendly and engages in genuine conversation, and the staff are courteous and go out of their way to be kind and do things to make the experience. While we were eating, we heard someone who works in the same shopping center order food to go and they were told they would bring the food over when it was ready. That’s just the level of wonderfulness going on at this location. Tin Drum corporate made the right decision with this franchisee.

The food was very flavorful, delicious!! I brought my family in during their grand opening. Their location was clean. The ENTIRE staff was so friendly! I was able to interact with the owner, barista who makes the drinks, and members from the kitchen at different points during my visit. The environment was very welcoming. We had their sesame chicken wok bowl, Japanese teriyaki bowl, and their orange chicken bowl along with different boba tea drinks. We will definitely be back!
